Popular Philadelphia performer R. Eric Thomas, host of The Moth (the acclaimed storytelling series and podcast), remounts Always the Bridesmaid, a solo play that takes on love, marriage equality and the next best thing performing today, October 7 and 12.

American Indian Artists Inc. (AMERINDA) will present the World Premiere of POWWOW HIGHWAY, a stage adaptation of David Seals novel turned cult classic film by William S. Yellow Robe, Jr. Directed by Madeline Sayet, previews begin October 10 at HERE. Opening night is slated for Thursday, October 16.

The event will be on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, 721 Broadway in the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program ("GMTWP") Black Box Theatre, 2nd floor, followed by a meet-and-greet with the writers and performers.

The Public Theater announced a four-week extension for the world premiere musical HAMILTON, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Inspired by the book 'Alexander Hamilton' by Ron Chernow and directed by Thomas Kail, HAMILTON begins performances on Tuesday, January 20 and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, February 22. The musical will now run an additional four weeks to Sunday, March 22, with an official press opening on Tuesday, February 17.

Previews begin this Saturday, October 4 at 7pm for the LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater production of brownsville song (b-side for tray), a new play by Kimber Lee, directed by Patricia McGregor, at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). This New York premiere, which features Sheldon Best, Sun Mee Chomet, Lizan Mitchell, Chris Myers and Taliyah Whitaker, opens on Monday, October 20, and will play a 6-week limited engagement through Sunday, November 16.

Zach Braff, who recently made his Broadway debut in 'Bullets Over Broadway' will helm a pilot for a new MTV dark comedy titled SELF PROMOTION.

Eve Enseler's new play O.P.C. -- short for 'Obsessive Political Correctness' -- comes to American Repertory Theatre this fall and continues into A.R.T.'s winter season, running November 28, 2014 through January 4, 2015. Directed by Pesha Rudnick, the show will star Melissa Leo and Olivia Thirlby.

CHEMICALLY ALTERED and TELLY LEUNG PRODUCTIONS have announced the public premiere of their new musical short film GRIND: THE MOVIE starring Anthony Rapp (If/Then, Rent), Claire Coffee ('Grimm,' 'The West Wing') and Pasha Pellosie ('The Carrie Diaries') today, October 1.

Second Stage Theatre's production of TERRENCE McNALLY's play, LIPS TOGETHER, TEETH APART, directed by PETER DuBOIS, will begin preview performances next Tuesday, October 7.
