Second Stage's LIPS TOGETHER, TEETH APART Begins Previews Next Week

Second Stage Theatre's production of TERRENCE McNALLY's play, LIPS TOGETHER, TEETH APART, directed by PETER DuBOIS, will begin preview performances next Tuesday, October 7. Featuring MICHAEL CHERNUS (Obie Award winner for In the Wake), TRACEE CHIMO (Lortel Award winner for Bad Jews, 2ST Uptown's Bachelorette), AMERICA FERRERA (Emmy Award winner for 'Ugly Betty') and AUSTIN LYSY (2ST's The Water's Edge), the production will officially open on Wednesday, October 29. Tickets are currently available through 2ST.com or by calling the box office at 212-246-4422.

Katie Brayben to Star in West End's BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL, February

Katie Brayben will play the title role in the West End production of Beautiful - The Carole King Musicalopening at the Aldwych Theatre in February next year. Alan Morrissey will play King's husband and song-writing partner Gerry Goffin, with Lorna Want as song-writer Cynthia Weil, Glynis Barber as Genie Klein, King's mother, and Gary Trainor as music publisher and producer Don Kirshner. London previews beginning on 10 February 2015 and with the show currently booking to 13 June 2015. Press night will now take place on 24 February at 7pm. Final casting will be announced shortly.

Actors Co-op to Stage THE DIVINERS at the David Schall Theatre, 10/15-11/23

Actors Co-op announces its second show in its 2014-2015 season (and 23rd year of producing theatrical excellence in Los Angeles!) with THE DIVINERS, written by Jim Leonard, Jr. and directed by Mark Henderson. THE DIVINERS will preview on Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 16 at 8pm and will open on Friday, October 17 at 8pm and run through Sunday, November 23 at the Actors Co-op David Schall Theatre, 1760 N. Gower St. (on the campus of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood) in Hollywood.

Court Theatre & American Blues Theater Extend NATIVE SON

Due to early ticket demand, Court Theatre and American Blues Theater announce an extension to the world premiere of American Blues Ensemble Member Nambi E. Kelley's new adaptation of Richard Wright's classic novel, Native Son, directed by Seret Scott. Native Son will now run September 11 - October 19, 2014 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue.
