The Vail International Dance Festival announces its 2015 schedule to be held July 27 through August 10, marking its 27th season with world premieres, exceptional debuts, and captivating collaborations. Located in the pristine alpine community of Vail, Colorado, the Festival features many of the world's greatest artists from all genres of dance. Under the direction of former New York City Ballet star Damian Woetzel, the Festival's 2015 season includes Artist-in-Residence ballerina Carla Körbes, Savion Glover, Wendy Whelan, American Ballet Theatre's Isabella Boylston, Misty Copeland, and Herman Cornejo, New York City Ballet's Sara Mearns, Tiler Peck, Lauren Lovette, Jared Angle, Chase Finlay, Zachary Catazaro, and Joseph Gordon, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's Linda Celeste Sims and Antonio Douthit-Boyd, Boston Ballet's Misa Kuranaga and Jeffrey Cirio, Pacific Northwest Ballet's Angelica Generosa, and Memphis Jookers Lil Buck and Prime Tyme.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre proudly welcomes MacArthur 'Genius' Award winner Tarell Alvin McCraney for the West Coast premiere of Head of Passes, a poignant and poetic story about the journey of family and faith, trial and tribulation. In a dilapidated house near the ever-shifting mouth of the Mississippi, Shelah's family gathers on a stormy night for her birthday -- bringing ghosts and secrets of the past with them. As her roof buckles under the weight of the rain, Shelah's convictions begin to wash away, leaving her to excavate the truths buried below. Directed by Tina Landau, the riveting Head of Passes comes to the Bay Area straight from its critically lauded world premiere in Chicago. Head of Passes is a co-production with the Public Theater in New York. It begins previews on Berkeley Rep's intimate Thrust Stage today, April 10, opens today, April 17, and runs through Sunday, May 24, 2015. The 2015 Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by AT&T, today announced "Sinatra at 100: Film & Music in collaboration with The Lincoln Motor Company," a centennial celebration to honor Frank Sinatra's legendary film career at the Festival's 14th edition.

Wolfe, and Savion Glover will team up to collaborate on SHUFFLE ALONG, Or, The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, a musical about the events that led to the creation of the groundbreaking Eubie Blake-Noble Sissle musical Shuffle Along. Starring Audra McDonald as the 1920's star Lottie Gee, directed by George C. Wolfe -- with a book written by Wolfe -- and choreographed by Savion Glover, the musical marks the first time that the writer/director and choreographer will have worked together since their 1996 hit Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk. Previews will begin Monday, March 14, 2016. Opening night is Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

Cartier Williams is a hoofer, choreographer, filmmaker and performer hailing from Washington, D.C. He began his tap dancing career at the age of four and has been active in the tap dance community ever since. Throughout his career, Cartier has had the opportunity to dance with a multitude of tap pioneers and masters, including Gregory Hines, Savion Glover, Peg Leg Bates and the Nicholas Brothers. He has appeared on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,' 'The Tonight Show,' 'Good Morning America' and CNN. Cartier has performed for President Clinton, co-starring with Bebe Neuwirth in the PBS special 'In Performance at The White House.' He also performed for President George W. Bush at the 2006 Congressional Picnic at the White House. Cartier is currently continuing to develop multiple musical productions and workshops.

Yaelisa & Caminos Flamencos are delighted to announce the revival of one of their most popular programs, Canciones, featuring flamenco dance set to traditional and popular songs. Guest artists Marina Elana, Manuel Gutierrez and Jesus Montoya join the ensemble in interpretations of music by Ray Charles, Leonard Cohen, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, the Beatles, The Police and many more. Canciones runs for only two performances over Thanksgiving weekend, November 29 - 30, 2014.
