The Broadway at Birdland Concert Series welcomed Jamie deRoy & friends for a star-studded cabaret show last night and BroadwayWorld was there.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs has just announced the 2016 MAC Award nominees and complete list of honorees for the 30th Annual MAC Awards.

Too Blondes is a new hit cabaret show starring Chase O'Donnell and Savannah Brown. The next performance is on January 25th, 2016 at the Metropolitan Room at 7:00pm ($15.00). The concert will be a song and dance revue full of comedy.

Broadway's Supper Club presented Joanna Strand and Jacqui Tate last night and BroadwayWorld was there.  Ann Hampton Callaway was a surprise guest and gave the British duo her Diva Blessing. Joanna Strand and Jacqui Tate bridge the worlds of musical theatre, jazz and popular song. Infinitely versatile and with a host of West End and touring credits between them, including The Phantom of the Opera, Avenue Q, Jekyll and Hyde, Evita and My Fair Lady as well as the Broadway transfers of Master Class and South Pacific, they captivate audiences with their unique harmonies and original arrangements. Stacy Sullivan is a warm and amusing storyteller with an entertaining family history. The first six numbers of her new Metropolitan Room show on Thursday night, Since You Asked (after the Judy Collins song), are bridged by tales of her parents, grandparents, great grandparents, and her upbringing in Oklahoma. Unfortunately, five of these songs have only the most tenuous relationship to material that follows, diminishing reception with thoughts of--Where's the connection? What's she trying to say?

Celebrate Mother's Day at 54 Below, when Broadway's Supper Club presents 'A Very Broadway Mother's Day' for two performances only on Sunday evening, May 10 at 7PM and 9:30PM.

Stacy Sullivan brought her new show, "Since You've Asked' to The Metropolitan Room last night and broadwayworld was there. Whether you're a fan of The Great American Songbook or VH1, you'll find something to love within this eclectic evening of music and story. With musical director Troy Fannin on guitar, Matthew Watanabe on piano, and Jaime Mohamdein on bass, Sullivan has created her most personal, thought-provoking evening to date. With music by Randy Newman, Nina Simone, Ray LaMontagne, Hoagy Carmichael, Judy Collins, Ed Sheeran, Woodie Guthrie, Stevie Nicks, Cole Porter, George Harrison, Noel Coward, David Hajdu, Fred Hersch, Jonsi, Stephen Schwartz...and others.

It was all in the family and all for the family at The Friars Club last night. La Famiglia, Mishpucha, La Familia, CeMbR, Rat Pack, Broadway and Cabaret, were assembled by producers Laura Slutsky and Jamie at the Friars for a spectacular Jamie deRoy & friends show last night. You had to be in the family or know someone in the family to get into the sold out event. Probably no family gathering had so much fun, good food, and great performances as this one did.

There will be a very special show at the Friars tonight, March 11th. Jamie deRoy will be hosting a an evening of entertainment called 'Family Ties'. Usually Jamie's shows are all about the talented and interesting friends she knows, but for this one, the main requirement will be that these wonderfully entertaining friends have to be related to each other or to a Friar.
