The North American tour of the 10-time Tony Award-winning Best Musical THE BAND’S VISIT, featuring music and lyrics by Tony and Drama Desk Award®-winner David Yazbek, will resume its national tour on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Durham Performing Arts Center and continue on to more than 25 cities through Summer 2022.

On this day in 2016, the world premiere of The Band's Visit opened to critical acclaim at the Atlantic Theater Company, where the sold-out, limited engagement extended twice.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced initial casting for the world premiere production of A Play is a Poem, a collection of one-acts by Academy Award winner Ethan Coen (Almost an Evening; The Ballad of Buster Scruggs), directed by Neil Pepe (Atlantic Artistic Director, Broadway's American Buffalo) and produced in association with Center Theatre Group. The production has also announced a new first preview date. A Play is a Poem will now begin previews Thursday, May 14th and will open Monday, June 1st for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 21st Off-Broadway at Atlantic Stage 2 (330 West 16th Street).

One of the most Tony Award-winning musicals in history, THE BAND'S VISIT is coming to The Smith Center in Las Vegas from June 23-28.
