In collaboration with the Recording Academy, Great Performances presents GRAMMY Salute To Music Legends 2018®, the third annual all-star concert offering a primetime spotlight for the Recording Academy's 2018 Special Merit Awards recipients. The celebration and tribute concert feature rare performances by honorees and never-before-seen renditions of their classic songs by those they've inspired. Recorded in July at Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre, the event premieres nationwideFriday, October 5 at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings) and will be available to stream the following day via pbs.org/gperf and PBS apps.

The Recording Academy has expanded its lineup for the 'GRAMMY Salute To Music Legends®,' an awards ceremony and live tribute concert celebrating the 2018 Special Merit Awards honorees on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Added to the lineup are four-time GRAMMY® winner Yolanda Adams, who will perform and honor Tony Agnello and Richard Factor, GRAMMY winner Gustavo Dudamel who will present to John Williams; violinist Anne Akiko Meyers, who will perform in tribute to Williams; and members of The Meters, including Joseph '?Zigaboo' Modeliste, Cyril Neville, Leo Nocentelli, and George Porter Jr. This year's Lifetime Achievement Award honorees are Hal Blaine, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Louis Jordan, The Meters, Queen, and Tina Turner. Additional Special Merit Awards honorees to be celebrated include Bill Graham, Seymour Stein, and Williams, who are this year's Trustees Award honorees, and Agnello and Factor, who are the Technical GRAMMY® Award recipients. Announced today, world-renowned guitar virtuoso JOE SATRIANI, has joined forces with Stingray Qello to release his tour documentary, "Beyond the Supernova" filmed, edited, directed and produced by ZZ Satriani, while on tour in 2016 and 2017.
