Following a sold-out premiere at Joe's Pub last December, Shakina makes her 54 Below debut with ONE WOMAN SHOW: A Work In Progress, recounting in song and story the exploits and misadventures that led to her gender transition.

Muse Match, an evening that seeks to answer the question, 'What happens when 18 composers go on a blind date with 18 singers?,' will be presented Feb. 24, 2014, at 11:30 PM at 54 Below.

On December 7th Shakina Nayfack will present her debut performance of ONE WOMAN SHOW: A Work in Progress, a solo act tracing thirty-three eccentric years in a male body, featuring new takes on showtune standards and new songs by composers Joe Iconis, Julianne Wick Davis, Sam Salmond, and Nikko Benson. This funny, scandalous, and moving evening provides a new window into the modern transgender experience, and will also help raise money for Shakina's transition. The benefit show, (also a birthday party), celebrates the launch of Shakina's 'KickStartHer' campaign to raise money for her gender confirmation surgery.

The Show Goes On Productions (TSGO) presents another theatrical concert in its ROCK TONIC Series, tonight September 30th, 2013. HERE IN THE DARK, written and performed by Ashkon Davaran, directed by Shakina Nayfack, will be at The Cutting Room, 44 E. 32ndStreet, at Park Avenue. Doors and kitchen open at 9:30. On Wednesday, September 25th at 11:30 pm, WRITER'S BLOCK is back at 54 Below (254 West 54th Street). Hosted by Joe Iconis (The Black Suits at Center Theatre Group, Joe Iconis and Family at 54 Below), WRITERS BLOCK features fresh, new work by some of the New York's most talented up-and-coming songwriters of contemporary musical theatre and beyond. 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, has announced plans to augment its diverse programming with a varied new series of in-house productions including a new interview series, a new musicals-in-concert series (following-up on the success of the club's wildly successful High Fidelity in Concertevent), and a program for new composers. The venue will continue to present its popular Sondheim Unplugged series featuring some of Broadway's brightest stars sharing performances and behind-the-scenes anecdotes from their favorite Sondheim musicals.
