On the heels of joining Playwrights Horizons Resident Company Program, Musical Theatre Factory (MTF), under the direction of Founding Artistic Director Shakina Nayfack, has announced its first full season of programming since its founding in January 2014.

Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (AUPAC) is proud to present the Larson Legacy Concert showcasing the work of Sam Salmond, a recipient of The American Theatre Wing's 2015 Jonathan Larson Grants, on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. in the Olmsted Theatre. Join Sam and a gang of Broadway's best for an exciting preview of multiple new musicals in development.  It'll be an afternoon of pop rock, laughter and catharsis. Enjoy one-of-a-kind songs about outcasts, LGBT heroes, teenage romance, rock 'n roll housewives, mad scientists and more.

Ciara Renee of the CW's Legends of Tomorrow and Alan Menken/Stephen Schwartz's The Hunchback of Notre Dame and A.J. Shively of Bright Star will join the cast of MuseMatch VII: Songs for Sophia, an evening that seeks to answer the question, 'What happens when 15 composers go on a blind date with 15 singers?,' will be presented Saturday June 18th, 2016 , at 11:30 PM at 54 Below.  Produced by Bill Coyne and Ariel Dobshinsky, all proceeds will benefit Sophia Maglione, an 8-year old girl who is fighting her second bout of Medulloblastoma.

Cape Town's Alexander Bar, Cafe and Theatre will host a series of seven productions starting on 20 June, all of which are en route to the 2016 National Arts Festival in Grahamstown. The American Theatre Wing announced today that the 2016 Jonathan Larson Grants recipients are Cesar Alvarez (book, music and lyrics), Nikko Benson (music and lyrics), Carson Kreitzer (book and lyrics), and Sam Salmond (book, music, and lyrics). Four prestigious grants of $10,000 each, totaling $40,000, will be presented on Monday, March 21, 2016 at a private event at the WNYC Greene Space. The event will feature special performances of the recipients' work.

After a sold-out premiere at Joe's Pub, Musical Theatre Factory will present a limited encore engagement of Shakina Nayfack in POST-OP on Tuesday October 13 & 20 at 8pm at the Musical Theatre Factory (250 w 40th St, 4th floor), Tickets are $20 at the door, $17 in advance and can be purchased at mtf.nyc.

Tonight, September 22nd Joe's Pub and Musical Theatre Factory will present the highly anticipated premiere of Shakina Nayfack's sophomore solo show, POST-OP. This performance is a companion piece to Nayfack's autobiographical ONE WOMAN SHOW, which premiered at Joe's Pub in 2013, and subsequently played 54 Below, Sophie's @ Broadway, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, Barrington Stage Company, and Musical Theatre Factory (MTF).
