UnsungMusicalsCo. (UMC) is proud to present a special workshop production of the all-new musical revue The Passing Show for five performances only June 26-29 at MTC Creative Center.

The cast and creative team of the hit Off-Broadway musical Murder for Two are teaming up with some of New York's brightest up and coming composers and BroadwayWorld.com every Monday night for their spring concert series, Murderous Musical Mondays. Composers Sam Carner & Derek Gregor continue the series on Monday, June 2, 2014, immediately following the 7pm performance of Murder for Two at New World Stages (Stage 5 - 340 West 50th Street).

Barnyard Follies is a new musical intended for young performers, written by Sam Carner of the Carner & Gregor team (Unlock'd, Island Song). Directing the reading is David Alpert (Associate Director of If/Then, The Best Man, A Trip to Bountiful) and musical direction is provided by Jason Wetzel (Assistant Conductor for After Midnight and numerous touring credits including Young Frankenstein, The Drowsy Chaperone). The cast features 24 young performers ranging in age from seven to nineteen and includes Sebastian Hedges Thomas, currently on Broadway as Young Charlie in Kinky Boots. The reading will take place at 6pm on May 28th at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Playwrights Horizons.

Building on the success of five years of sold out shows and an incredible list of alumni, writing team Sam Carner and Derek Gregor will once again host their annual "Barely Legal Show-Tune Extravaganza" concert on August 21st at 7pm and 9:30pm at 54 Below, New York's premier cabaret venue.

The critically acclaimed musical Mama and Her Boys will close following tonight's performance. Previews began February 11 toward a February 18 opening. Originally slated to run through March 4, Mama and Her Boys was twice extended. Upon its close, the show will have enjoyed a 13-week run.

Coleen Sexton will join the cast of the hit Off-Broadway musical Mama and Her Boys April 30. Sexton has appeared on Broadway in Jekyll & Hyde and Off-Broadway in Forever Dusty. Her national tour credits include Wicked and Legally Blonde. She is also a member of the Broadway Dolls. She joins current New York cast members Erik Keiser, Steven Boyd Baker and Sarah Kleeman on 4/30. Sexton joins previously announced guest star Cristin J. Hubbard (Phantom, The Pirate Queen) who returns to the show on 5/7.

Hubbard has appeared on Broadway in The Phantom of the Opera (she returns to the Broadway company June 30 in the role of Madame Giry) and The Pirate Queen. She joins original cast members/creators Ethan Paulini, Wendy Watson and original New York cast member Erik Keiser on 4/23. On 5/7, the third original cast member Christopher Sidoli will join the cast.

Due to overwhelming ticket demand the critically acclaimed musical Mama and Her Boys has again extended its return New York engagement. Tickets are now on sale through May 7. Performances continue Wednesdays at 8:30pm at Sophies at Broadway, 318 W. 53rd St. between 8th and 9th Avenue.

Award-winning composer and lyricist Joe Iconis will take the stage on Monday, May 5, 2014 at New World Stages as part of MURDER FOR TWO's newly launched concert series Murderous Musical Mondays. The unplugged concert, which will feature both new songs and fan favorites, will take place immediately following the 7pm performance of MURDER FOR TWO at New World Stages (Stage 5 - 340 West 50th Street) on Monday, May 5th, 2014. Songwriting duo Sam Carner & Derek Gregor are teaming up with composer/lyricist Bobby Cronin to help raise funds for the 'Building Hope' project of the 11th Hour Rescue by raffling off tickets to two upcoming musical theater concerts.
