The cast and creative team of the hit Off-Broadway musical Murder for Two are teaming up with some of New York's brightest up and coming composers and BroadwayWorld.com every Monday night for their spring concert series, Murderous Musical Mondays. Composers Sam Carner & Derek Gregor continue the series on Monday, June 2, 2014, immediately following the 7pm performance of Murder for Two at New World Stages (Stage 5 - 340 West 50th Street).

David Alpert to Direct Reading of BARNYARD FOLLIES , 5/28

Barnyard Follies is a new musical intended for young performers, written by Sam Carner of the Carner & Gregor team (Unlock'd, Island Song). Directing the reading is David Alpert (Associate Director of If/Then, The Best Man, A Trip to Bountiful) and musical direction is provided by Jason Wetzel (Assistant Conductor for After Midnight and numerous touring credits including Young Frankenstein, The Drowsy Chaperone). The cast features 24 young performers ranging in age from seven to nineteen and includes Sebastian Hedges Thomas, currently on Broadway as Young Charlie in Kinky Boots. The reading will take place at 6pm on May 28th at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Playwrights Horizons.

MAMA AND HER BOYS Closes Off-Broadway Tonight

The critically acclaimed musical Mama and Her Boys will close following tonight's performance. Previews began February 11 toward a February 18 opening. Originally slated to run through March 4, Mama and Her Boys was twice extended. Upon its close, the show will have enjoyed a 13-week run.

The critically acclaimed musical Mama and Her Boys will close following the May 7 performance. Previews began February 11 toward a February 18 opening. Originally slated to run through March 4, Mama and Her Boys was twice extended. Upon its close, the show will have enjoyed a 13 week run. When combined with its New York Premiere last February through May at the Underground Theatre, Mama has enjoyed a 28 week New York run.

Coleen Sexton to Join Cast of MAMA AND HER BOYS, 4/30

Coleen Sexton will join the cast of the hit Off-Broadway musical Mama and Her Boys April 30. Sexton has appeared on Broadway in Jekyll & Hyde and Off-Broadway in Forever Dusty. Her national tour credits include Wicked and Legally Blonde. She is also a member of the Broadway Dolls. She joins current New York cast members Erik Keiser, Steven Boyd Baker and Sarah Kleeman on 4/30. Sexton joins previously announced guest star Cristin J. Hubbard (Phantom, The Pirate Queen) who returns to the show on 5/7.

Cristin J. Hubbard will join the cast of the hit Off-Broadway musical Mama and Her Boys April 23 and May 7. Hubbard has appeared on Broadway in The Phantom of the Opera (she returns to the Broadway company June 30 in the role of Madame Giry) and The Pirate Queen. She joins original cast members/creators Ethan Paulini, Wendy Watson and original New York cast member Erik Keiser on 4/23. On 5/7, the third original cast member Christopher Sidoli will join the cast.

Due to overwhelming ticket demand the critically acclaimed musical Mama and Her Boys has again extended its return New York engagement. Tickets are now on sale through May 7. Performances continue Wednesdays at 8:30pm at Sophies at Broadway, 318 W. 53rd St. between 8th and 9th Avenue.

Songwriting duo Sam Carner & Derek Gregor are teaming up with composer/lyricist Bobby Cronin to help raise funds for the 'Building Hope' project of the 11th Hour Rescue by raffling off tickets to two upcoming musical theater concerts.

Due to overwhelming ticket demand the critically acclaimed musical Mama and Her Boys has again extended it's return New York engagement. Tickets are now on sale through May 7. Performances continue Wednesdays at 8:30pm at Sophies at Broadway, 318 W. 53rd St. between 8th and 9th Avenue. Creators and original cast members Ethan Paulini and Wendy Watson will appear on April 23 and May 7. The current cast includes original New York cast member Erik Keiser joined by Sarah Kleeman and Steven Boyd Baker. Paulini will stage and choreograph with musical direction by Lilli Wosk. Co-Creator Christopher Sidoli serves as musical consultant and Tony nominee Linda Kline serves as script consultant. The score features contributions from Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, Drew Overcash, Sally Fingerett and Tony nominee Lucy Simon. The run is produced by CEW Productions and Sophies.
