Building on the success of five years of sold out shows and an incredible list of alumni, writing team Sam Carner and Derek Gregor will once again host their annual "Barely Legal Show-Tune Extravaganza" concert on August 21st at 7pm and 9:30pm at 54 Below, New York's premier cabaret venue.

Carner & Gregor's "Barely Legal Show-Tune Extravaganza" is an annual summer concert featuring a contest winning cast comprised of up-and-coming college student-performers and 2014 graduates from around the world. The contest-winners, selected by a panel of Broadway judges based on video submissions, will make their New York concert debut joined by a Broadway band and various Broadway stars (former guests include Tony nominee Bobby Steggert, Andrew Kober, and Sarah Stiles) for an unforgettable experience for participants and audiences alike.

Alums of Carner & Gregor's "Barely Legal Show-Tune Extravaganza" include Danielle Wade (winner Over the Rainbow Canada and currently playing Dorothy in the North American tour of Wizard of Oz, having completed a year-long Toronto run), Lora Lee Gayer (Young Sally in the Broadway production of Follies!), Blair Goldberg (Carrie Off-Broadway and Sister Act 1st National Tour), Ashley Park (currently appearing in Mamma Mia), and many more performers currently working Off-Broadway, regionally, and on national tours.

"To be a part of an event that has had such an impact on the careers of young musical theater talent for going on our 6th year, is incredibly meaningful," said Sam Carner. "It's one of my favorite nights of the year."

This year, the concert, produced by Bandits Roost Entertainment, will add a new feature: workshops and classes. In addition to pairing the students with Carner & Gregor and producers from the Bandits Roost team, these workshops and classes will introduce students with established Broadway stars, casting directors, agents, actors, teachers, and more, ensuring an enhanced experience for the young performers.

"More than ever before, students, especially performers, are looking for mentors to guide them and help them achieve their goals in their future careers," said Derek Gregor. "Being able to facilitate an opportunity for these talented young performers to receive such invaluable advice is a dream come true for us."

The contest is now open for video submissions and will remain open until June 20th. However, with only a limited number of contestants selected to perform in the show and interest at an all time high, prospective contestants are urged to send in their submissions as early as possible for consideration.
