Winifred Haun & Dancers to Present FIRST DRAFT in February

Winifred Haun & Dancers will present "First Draft" on February 26 & 27 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts. First Draft will feature new works by Wendy Clinard of Clinard Dance Theatre, James Gregg of Elements Contemporary Ballet, Winifred Haun of Winifred Haun & Dancers and Lucy Vurusic Riner & Michael Estanich of RE|Dance. Program details will be released in early January 2016.
Ruth Page Civic Ballet to Present THE NUTCRACKER, 12/5-13

The Ruth Page Civic Ballet is proud to present its annual production of The Nutcracker, choreographed by Ruth Page and co-directed by Victor Alexander and Dolores Lipinski Long. This production, celebrating its 50th anniversary this holiday season, will be performed at Northeastern Illinois University, 3701 W. Bryn Mawr Avenue in Chicago, Saturday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 6 at 1 and 5 p.m. and at the Ravinia Festival, 200 Ravinia Park Road in Highland Park Dec 13 at 3 and 6 p.m. Tickets for NEIU are $25 for general admission, $20 for seniors and children under the age of 12 and $10 for NEIU students, faculty and staff, one ticket per I.D. card. Also available is 'Tea with Clara,' a delightful tea party which patrons can enjoy with their favorite The Nutcracker characters from 3:15 - 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6. Tickets for 'Tea with Clara' include admission to the tea party and either 1 or 5 p.m. show, are $85 for adults and $50 for children under the age of 12. Tickets for the Ravinia performances are $10 reserved seating. Performance tickets are now on sale and may be purchased at www.ruthpage.org. 'Tea with Clara' tickets may also be purchased at www.ruthpage.org.

ShawChicago's 2015/16 season continues with Noel Coward's Private Lives, a comedy that follows four people and their passion for loving, quarreling and loving again. Barbara Zahora's ShawChicago directorial debut Private Lives runs from November 21st through December 14th at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60610. Official press opening is November 22nd at 2:00 PM.

The Ruth Page Center for the Arts will hold its annual Ruth Page Gala at the Union League Club of Chicago, 65 W. Jackson Blvd., Today, May 16. The evening begins at 5:45 p.m. with a VIP Reception, followed by dinner and entertainment from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. Gal Co-Chairs are Sasha Gerritson and Sara Stewart Schumann. The evening, hosted by WGN News Anchor Micah Materre, will include two award presentations, the Cultural Ambassador Award presented to Mesirow Financial for 'Mesirow Financial Presents!,' and the Community Partner Award presented to the Union League Boys and Girls Clubs; live performances by Artist In-Residence Ruth Page Civic Ballet; and a live auction presented by auctioneer, Bart Darfler. A highlight of the live auction will be a trip for two to Cuba as part of a cultural exchange program between the Ruth Page School of Dance and Cuba's Escuela Nacional de Ballet.

Northern Illinois University (NIU) proudly presents The Northern Stars of Dance Concert at the Ruth Page Center for the Performing Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn St., this weekend, April 10 - 12. Showcasing the talent of alumni, students and faculty from the NIU School of Theatre and Dance, the performance will center on Spent Days Out Yonder, a piece choreographed by internationally renowned choreographer Bill T.
