The Ruth Page Center for the Arts is proud to announce programming for Chicago's upcoming April Dance Month. CDI/Concert Dance Inc. continues sharing its piece, “The Chicago Project,” Sunday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. This work in progress makes its official debut this summer at Ravinia Festival. Also programmed at the venue in honor of this month-long citywide celebration of dance is be Hedwig Dance, April 21, 22, 28 and 29,and DanceWorks Chicago, April 23. These two companies join CDI/Concert Dance Inc. as Artists In-Residence at The Ruth Page Center for the Arts. ShawChicago concludes its 2016/17 season, Dysfunctional Family Fun, with George Bernard Shaw's World War I dramedy Heartbreak House. In a Chekovian Fantasia style, Shaw presents a caricature of the 1910s British upper class obsession with propriety. "[Essentially] the upper class who should be the ruling class fiddles while the country falls apart," says Artistic Director Robert Scogin.
