 Samuel Goldwyn Films announced today they have acquired the worldwide (English speaking territories) rights to director/producer Jason Wise's feature documentary, WAIT FOR YOUR LAUGH, which chronicles the extraordinary life and trail-blazing, ninety-year, career of legendary singer, actress, and comedienne, Rose Marie.

Shot in Asbury Park, New Jersey, it's a sentimental, emotion-packed night of nostalgia. MY MUSIC searched the country to find a new generation of Doo Wop singers to pay tribute to these veteran artists as they return to the stage for a final celebration. This once-in-a-lifetime concert for PBS also features performances that tell stories about the original singers their triumphs, challenges and eternal love for this music and inspirational recollectionsfrom friends and loved ones. The longest active career in entertainment history has come to an end. Rose Marie, Star of Broadway, Film and TV (The Dick Van Dyke Show / The Doris Day Show / Hollywood Squares) has passed at the age of 94.

Sardi's Restaurant unveiled a long-awaited caricature of showbiz legend, Miss Rose Marie, Friday, Nov. 3rd.

Earlier today, Sardi's unveiled a caricature for showbiz legend Rose Marie, to coincide with 'Wait For Your Laugh: The Longest Career in Showbiz History,' starring Dick Van Dyke, Carl Reiner, Tim Conway, Peter Marshall and, of course, Miss Rose Marie. She wasn't able to make it to the unveiling, but check out a photo of the legend posing with her new portrait below!

WAIT FOR YOUR LAUGH tells the story of the longest active career in entertainment, but it also looks at what it was like to be a female performer in the 20th century (and yes, she has opinions on the casting couch mentality), to work through periods of extreme personal heartbreak and it also casts an eye on how Rose Marie and her fellow nonagenarians Dick Van Dyke, Carl Reiner and Peter Marshall, still have the drive to create today.
