The Brown University/Trinity Rep MFA Programs will present a dramatic reinvention of the Shakespearian classic Romeo and Juliet, directed by Ryan Purcell (Brown/Trinity Rep MFA Programs '13). Experience this timeless tale of forbidden passion in a new way: a world filled with violence, jealousy, and ultimately loss transformed. Performances are May 7 through May 19 in the Citizens Bank Theater, Pell Chafee Performance Center, 87 Empire Street, Providence. General admission is $12, with a $6 admission for seniors and students. Tickets are now on sale at the Trinity Rep box office, by phone (401) 351-4242, and online at trinityrep.com.

Shakespeare Theatre Company's WILL ON THE HILL Set for 5/6

The bipartisan favorite of both theatre and political fans, Will on the Hill returns to the Shakespeare Theatre Company this spring. This year's Will on the Hill is marked by a performance of Toil and Trouble, an original play by Peter Byrne written with assistance from The West Wing Writers Group. Will on the Hill will be directed by STC Associate Director Alan Paul and take place on Monday, May 6, 2013, in Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW). The evening begins with a VIP cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the performance at 7:30 p.m. and a buffet dinner immediately following the performance.

The Louisville Ballet brings to stage the timeless tale of Shakespeare's two young star-crossed lovers torn apart by a bitter feud in Romeo & Juliet. This rich adaptation of one of the most famous of romantic ballets comes to life in a beautiful and powerful rendition of the world's best-known love story. The production features music by Sergei Prokofiev and choreography by Alun Jones.
