Sidesplitters Comedy Club in Tampa, Florida is set to welcome comedian Jamie Kennedy this weekend, for performances on July 11-13.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced that Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby, which has earned $321.5 million worldwide, will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download on August 27.

The new stage musical KING KONG recently opened at the Regent Theatre in Melbourne, Australia. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the show is already casting its eye towards Broadway, with a hopeful launch as early as 2014. Tonight, July 6th and and tomorrow, July 7th, the Oddfellows Theater Project, a group constructed of dedicated young artists and an experienced production team, will be putting up a unique production of Romeo & Juliet free of charge.

Penobscot Theatre's Dramatic Academy students will perform a variety of plays they have developed while also attending classes and workshops. Over forty students have studied acting, voice, stage combat, dance, and clowning in order to share their new experiences with the community in a performance setting.

Suffolk County Community College is pleased to announce that The Long Island Shakespeare Festival will offer free public performances of an abridged version of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet during summer 2013. The 13th season performances will be presented, rain or shine, at Suffolk County Community College's Ammerman Campus in Selden. The 90-minute production, which continues We Happy Few's celebrated commitment to illuminating Shakespeare's text through a fresh lens while maintaining the integrity of his story, characters and language, will run July 14-24, 2013 at Source Theatre in Washington, D.C. as part of this year's 8th Annual Capital Fringe Festival.

A romantic and flowery promo image for the forthcoming Broadway revival of William Shakespeare's seminal tragedy ROMEO & JULIET has been unveiled, featuring the attractive stars of the forthcoming David Leveaux-directed production posing alluringly.

Tonight, June 28, the Houston Symphony will perform a free concert as part of the ExxonMobil Summer Symphony Nights series at Miller Outdoor Theatre. The concert will feature the famous Romeo and Juliet Overture by Tchaikovsky, followed by popular works from Mendelssohn and Schumann. Led by American conductor Case Scaglione, the concert will also feature pianist Kuok-Wai Lio. Born in Macau, Kuok-Wai has gained worldwide recognition performing with various orchestras and for multiple festivals and competitions. Kuok-Wai will be making his Houston debut performing Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto in G Minor.
