The Tony Award winning Best Musical Avenue Q will mark its 15th anniversary with 15 special performances at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St.) from July 18 to 29, 2018.

What do you do with a BA in English - 15 years later? You might not be able to go back to college, but you can always go back to AVENUE Q, the winner of the 2004 Tony Awards' "Triple Crown" for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book.

As one of the nation's leading professional theaters and recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. If you take a step back and really think about it, musical theatre is pretty absurd.  Actors stop talking and burst into elaborate song and dance numbers, which are often great to watch, but you feel like if aliens landed on Broadway and went to a show, they would have a very strange idea of what human beings are like.  That's just one of myriad themes in SOMETHING ROTTEN. Not the part about aliens, but this show is more of a snarky love letter to musical theatre that also happens to contain insanely great song and dance numbers, as well as a few excellent dick jokes.  It's something for everyone, and it's a show so layered with inside jokes that it begs to be watched over and over again.

Whether you love 'em or hate 'em, the more you know about Shakespeare and Broadway musicals, the more SOMETHING ROTTEN will have you laughing out loud.

A Balancing Act: The Podcast launched its second season on May 1st!

Nipping at the heels of the wildly outrageous, yet hilarious, comedies such as 'The Book of Mormon' and 'Spamalot,' this national tour cast of 'Something Rotten' serves up a fun take on musicals at the turn of the century-the 17th century, that is.

The completely original new musical Something Rotten!, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award and Tony Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Tony Award nominees Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, opens at The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on May 1-6, 2018.

Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will conclude their 22nd Anniversary season with Jason Robert Brown and Andrew Bergman's HONEYMOON IN VEGAS.  The one-night-only concert will take place at Glendale's historic Alex Theatre on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 7:00 PM.   This staging will provide Southern California audiences a first look at this delightful musical.  

No matter how much you love your significant other, chances are that eventually you are going to need some time apart. However, for real-life married couple Maggie Lakis and Rob McClure, that's not so easy. That's because Maggie and Rob play the fictional married couple Bea and Nick Bottom in the first national tour of the hit musical SOMETHING ROTTEN, which comes to Orlando's Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts from April 24-29.

Straight from Broadway, SOMETHING ROTTEN! is currently on tour across the country, and is coming to the Fox Theatre in Atlanta this week. SOMETHING ROTTEN! is a musical filled with laughs, it is a 'valentine to the theatre', and one not to be missed by musical theatre fans. BroadwayWorld spoke with Josh Grisetti who plays Nigel Bottom in SOMETHING ROTTEN! on tour, and played the same role in the Broadway production.

No matter who plays the lead, SOMETHING ROTTEN! is worth seeing (multiple times).
