Gareth Machin, Artistic Director of Wiltshire Creative, and Guest Festival Director Jonathan Dove today announce the programme for the 2019 Salisbury International Arts Festival (24 May to 9 June) which will mark two global anniversaries - the 1969 moon landings and the 1989 fall of the Berlin Wall - with an ambitious mix of music, spoken word, film, dance, circus, theatre, comedy and family events.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announced the winners of the 2019 TRU Voices New Musicals Reading Series: Miracolo by Jarlath Barsanti-Jacobs and Emilio Solla; and Seeing Red by Joey Mazzarino and Aron Accurso.The two musicals will be performed on Monday evening January 14th and Monday evening February 4th respectively. Deadline reports that Danny DeVito, currently making his Broadway debut in THE PRICE, is in talks to join Tim Burton's live-action reboot of DUMBO for Walt Disney Studios.

With the popularity of film screenings paired with live symphony orchestras at an all time high, I'm glad one of the many to get the treatment is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, the first installment of the 8-film movie franchise adapted from JK Rowling's worldwide best-selling books. What an incredible thrill it was to hear John Williams' now-iconic score reverberate live in full force via a massive 84-person symphony orchestra while synced up perfectly to the film screened in HD above the orchestra on a 40-foot screen. The concert series continues through November 13 at OC's Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa.
