Love is in the air at Hill Country Community Theatre! For their third major production of the 2022-2023 season, the venue will be presenting the off-Broadway musical favorite I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE.

In this episode, Ben and Daniel talk to actor, singer, and drag legend Jeffery Roberson (aka Varla Jean Merman) about the 1966 cast recording of 'The Mad Show.' They also discuss Coco Peru, Frank DeCaro, Heklina, Joanne Worley, Linda Lavin, 'The First Wives Club,' Carol Burnett, Sandy Duncan, Barbra Streisand, Ann Reinking, Leslie Jordan, Marisol Montalvo, and Charles Busch. Leonard Bernstein made one foray into Hollywood with an original film score: the 1954 romantic tragedy On the Waterfront, which is ranked by the American Film Institute as one of the ten best films of all time.  On Saturday, February 24 at 8pm, On the Waterfront will exuberantly come to life when the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) presents Richard Kaufman conducting Bernstein's electrifying score live, while the newly re-mastered film is shown in glorious high definition on the big screen with original dialogue intact.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series presents Miss Coco Peru in The Taming of the Tension on Sunday and Monday, October 15 and October 16. Miss Coco Peru has been a little tense lately and one of the things that Coco likes to do when she is tense is invite friends over to her place for tea (and/or cocktails) and a good old-fashioned bullsh*tting session. Richmond Triangle Players and Virginia Pride bring one of the country's most acclaimed comedian/monologists (and one fierce drag queen!) to Richmond when Miss Coco Peru takes the RTP stage on Thursday and Friday, March 30 & 31 at 8 pm in A Gentle Reminder: Coco's Guide to a Somewhat Happy Life.

Drag icons COCO PERU, CHAD MICHAELS and PEACHES CHRIST will star in the long-awaited New York Premiere of THE WITCHES OF EAST VILLAGE, a theatrical parody based on the iconic film 'The Witches of Eastwick'. This original stage show was written and directed by Joshua Grannell. It will be performed for one night only for two performances, Saturday, April 2 at 7pm at The Gramercy Theatre (127 East 23rd Street between Park and Lexington Aves.).
