Five world premiere plays and three new adaptations seen first by Chicago audiences received Jeff nominations by the Jeff Awards Committee and are among the 166 nominations in 36 categories announced for Chicago Equity theatrical productions opened between August 1, 2012 and July 31, 2013.

Ensemble Theatre will open its 34th season with ANIMALS OUT OF PAPER by Rajiv Joseph, co-writer of the upcoming film 'Draft Day' (2014) and Cleveland Hts. native! Directed by Celeste Cosentino, the production will run September 27th-October 20th, 2013.

The Fu Manchu Complex, a play by Daniel York, will premiere at Ovalhouse 1 - 19 October 2013. Directed by Justin Audibert (Artistic Associate of HighTide and Associate of Told By An Idiot), this new work centres on the eponymous character in Sax Rohmer's Fu Manchu novels, the first of which was published 100 years ago in 1913.

InterAct Theatre Company and the New York based company, The One-Minute Play Festival (OMPF) today announce their joint presentation of the First Philadelphia One-Minute Play Festival, to be performed tonight, July 29th-31st 2013 at 8:00 PM EST.
