Devi Girl Productions presents the U.S. Premiere of IMMACULATE, by Oliver Lansley at Summer Shares at La MaMa, The First Floor Theatere at 74 East 4th Street, today, July 25th -28th.

Produced by Anita Sabherwal, co-produced by Catherine McCarthy, directed by Snehal Desai, and featuring Andrew Ramcharan Guilarte, Samuel T. Gaines, Joe Lanza and Craig Wesley Divino, Immaculate is a black comedy that deals with religion, relationships, and responsibilities. In this British play, a young woman, Mia, becomes pregnant. The problem is...she hasn't had sex in over nine months! Things get complicated when the angel Gabriel shows up on her doorstep claiming parentage...as does Mia's ex-boyfriend Michael. And Lucifer. And a loser named Gary who Mia went to school with. Mix in Mia's crazy best friend Rebecca and a Greek Chorus and the situation quickly spirals into farcical confusion as the four men fight to be deemed the daddy of this miracle baby.

IMMACULATE is part of Summer Shares at La Mama and will run at The First Floor Theatre 74 East 4th Street, from July 25-27th at 7:30pm, with matinee performances at 2pm on Saturday July 27th and 2pm on Sunday July 28th. ANITA SABHERWAL (Producer, "Mia")?Anita Sabherwal, the founder of Devi Girl Productions, is a British born actor who lives in New York City. She has lived in London, New York, Amsterdam & Cleveland! She studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and has appeared in: On stage- 'Rangoon' at the Pan Asian Rep, 'Future Anxiety' (director Jim Simpson) at the The Flea Theatre, 'BritBits Vol. 4′ at Mind the Gap Theatre, 'East Village Chronicles Vol. 5′, at Metropolitan Playhouse, 'Seven Eleven 2007′ with Desipina Productions. Film/TV/Web - One Life to Live, Cyberchase, Neptunus Rex, Motherland, MTV Iggy, Head in the Oven, Wallstrip, High Times Magazine Awards. She lives with the man in her life, her pet bunny, Mr. Trix.

CATHERINE MCCARTHY (Co-Producer, "Rebecca") Catherine McCarthy, co-producer of Immaculate, is an actress from Chappaqua, New York and currently living in New York City. She studied at Drama Studio London in the UK. After graduating, she starred in Last Train to Nibroc directed by Patrick Sanford, which toured throughout the UK culminating in a West End run. On television she has been seen on Nurse Jackie, Damages and As the World Turns. She has recently completed her first screenplay and is producing and starring in her web series, 600 Hours, which will go into production in Fall 2013.

SNEHAL DESAI (Director) Snehal Desai is the inaugural recipient of the Drama League's Classical Directing Fellowship. He has Directed at theaters around the world including: The Old Globe-San Diego, Ars Nova, the Public, EST, Pan Asian Rep, Theater Emory, the Alliance Theater, Dad's Garage, East West Players and the Old Vic. Snehal is a member of the Lincoln Center Director's Lab and was a literary fellow with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He is a former resident director at EST and a member of The Civilians R & D group. Favorite directorial works include: Peregrine: Balboa Park, Baal, Marisol, Love's Labour's Lost, Heartbreak/India, and One Night with Rael. Snehal has toured his solo show, Finding Ways to Prove You're Not an Al-Qaeda Terrorist When You're Brown to sold out audiences across the United States and also is the author of the Sita/Sati Trilogy, Trials with Brownies, and Lost Boy. OLIVER LANSLEY (Playwright) Oli is a writer and actor. A past winner of 4Talent's Multi-Talented Award and Broadcast Hotshot (2008), his ITV2 series FM was described as 'the greatest radio station comedy since Frasier' and The Times heraldEd Whites for BBC2, 'a perfect example of the modern sitcom'. Current projects include a drama adaptation for Mammoth and original comedies for the BBC and Noho. In 2011, Oli made his TV directorial debut when he wrote and directed The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Daytime for SKY's Little Cracker Season starring Alan Davies. Oli also runs an award-winning theatre company, Les Enfants Terribles, which is dedicated to creating original, innovative theatre. They have enjoyed great success with their extensive catalogue of work including The Terrible Infants, Ernest and the Pale Moon and The Vaudevillains and The Trench regularly tour both around the UK and internationally to critical and audience acclaim.

Andrew Ramcharan Guilarte ("Lucifer") has appeared in BUNTY BURMAN PRESENTS at The New Group, The Play Company's Obie award winning INVASION (Soho Rep/The Flea), MARAT SADE (Classical Theater of Harlem) and THE WINTER'S TALE with David Strathairn (Classic Stage Company). Other NYC credits include JACKSON HEIGHTS TRILOGY at 777 Theatre, BUMBUG: THE MUSICAL at Theater Row, Desipina's production of LONELY LEELA at HERE Arts Center and ANOTHER LIFE (Irondale Theater). Andrew starred in the original musical BAKWAS BUMBUG (The Wild Project). He also appeared in Pulitzer finalist Rajiv Joseph's THE LEOPARD AND THE FOX, Pulitzer finalist Rollin Jones' world premiere of THE JAMMER (NY Fringe Fest) and KINGDOM OF LOST SONGS (Lincoln Center Directors Lab). Other theatre includes THE CONSEQUENCES at Wellfleet. Upcomng: DISPLACED HINDU GODS, Mixed Blood Theater. SAMUEL T. GAINES ("Gabriel") Samuel T. Gaines- Credits: The Importance of Being Earnest,The Jackson Heights Trilogy, Fly , King Lear, Night of the Living Dead, All Shook Up,Twelfth Night, Shakespeare's R &J, Boesman and Lena, Cloud Nine, A Raisin in the Sun, Arcadia, and Quindaro (A World premiere). Film: Smurfs the Movie, NEXT! a Webseries. BFA: University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana. MFA: University of Missouri, Kansas City. Member of AEA and SAG.

Joe Lanza ("Michael")- Originally from New Hampshire, this is Joe's first piece of theater here in New York. Craig Wesley Divino ("Gary Goodman") Selected acting credits: NYC: From White Plains, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Frogs, Doctor Faustus, Fault Line Theatre; The Two Noble Kinsmen, The Guerrilla Shakespeare Project; Tennis in Nablus, NYTW; The Tragedy of Cardenio, BrainTrust Theatricals. REGIONAL: A Christmas Carol, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park; Amadeus, Virginia Arts Festival; Arcadia, Rx, The Winter's Tale, Chautauqua Theatre Company; In the Next Room, SpeakEasy Stage Company; In Spite of the Devil, Brown/Trinity Playwrights Rep; Henry V, Rites and Reason Theatre; A Christmas Carol, Trinity Repertory Company. Craig is Associate Producer at GayfestNYC, a not-for-profit festival benefitting the Harvey Milk High School. Craig is also co-founder and Co-Artistic Director at Fault Line Theatre. FLT's new play From White Plains recently won the GLAAD Media Award for Best off-off-Broadway Production and enjoyed a sold out off-Broadway run at the Pershing Square Signature Center.
