Tony Nominee Vivian Reed to Perform STANDARDS & MORE Concerts in NYC

?VIVIAN REED, the two-time Tony Award-nominated Broadway star and concert artist called "remarkable and ferocious" by The New York Times, will return to New York with a four-performance run of her show "Standards and More." She will appear at The Metropolitan Room on April 2, May 23, June 17 and July 21, backed by a four-piece band led by Billy McDaniel. The evening will include unique arrangements of classic standards by Duke Ellington, Rodgers & Hart, Cole Porter and George Gershwin in a dazzling blend of pop, jazz, soul and R&B.

Last night, March 3, 2016, dance music icon, Tiësto, was awarded the Edison Pop Oeuvre Lifetime Achievement Award on a special broadcast of RTL Late Night. Presented since 1960, the annual Dutch prize is one of the oldest music awards in the world and celebrates outstanding achievements within the industry.

On Friday, January 22, Clark Terry protege and jazz pianist Justin Kauflin will be joined on the stage of the Bram Goldsmith Theater by lauded musical producer Quincy Jones for a special Q&A at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. The Q&A will follow the 8pm film screening of Keep On Keepin' On, Alan Hicks' ode to the friendship between the prodigious lifetime Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Clark Terry and Kauflin, and a rousing performance by Kauflin on piano.

Co-starring the fierce tap dancing Manzari brothers and the all female vivacious Diva Jazz Orchestra, the show is directed by Jeff Calhoun (Newsies, Deaf West's Big River, Grease). Performances began December 23rd at New World Stages (340 W. 50th Street), and opening night is tonight, January 11th.
