The Jazz Foundation of America's 'Lifetime Achievement Award' to Sonny Rollins featuring performances by Donald Fagen (of Steely Dan),Jimmy Heath, Jack DeJohnette, Gary Bartz, Billy Harper, Randy Brecker, Clifton Anderson, Alex Blake, Kenny Garrett, Ravi Coltrane,Buster Williams, Al Foster, James Carter, Bob Cranshaw, Cecil Bridgewater Big Band, and more.

Hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro, season two of Unwrapped 2.0 premieres tonight, October 10th.

Tonight, October 9, noted orchestrator and conductor Fred Barton will bring the music of Broadway and the American Songbook to the Schimmel Center at Pace University, in American Showstoppers: An Evening of Johnny Mercer. In his seventh concert at Pace, Fred Barton now brings the power of Mercer's music and lyrics front and center, with a 14-piece orchestra and a cast of 16 Broadway singers and dancers, with direction and choreography by Scott Thompson. The cast is headlined by Damon Kirsch, Tony nominee Lee Roy Reams, two time Tony nominee Vivian Reed, Nick Spangler, Tony Nominee Lauren Worsham, and Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba. The cast also features Jesse Luttrell, Sean McGibbon and Molly Pope.

For two weeks in December, the Lovelace Studio Theatre at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts will be transformed into the intimate nightclub world of Cabaret. This brand-new series will bring some of today's most heralded cabaret acts today to The Wallis for the first time including Amanda McBroom, Christine Andreas, Alice Ripley, Freda Payne, Melissa Manchester, Ute Lemper and Jeff Goldblum.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its 2015-16 season on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 2pm with the return of three-time Amateur Night at the Apollo winners Black Violin.  Celebrating the September 18, 2015 release of their newest album, Stereotypes, this classically trained violin duo inspires young people to get fired up about classical music with their unique fusion of classical, hip-hop, jazz, blues, and R&B. Dapper, debonair and devastatingly quick-witted, Alexander Armstrong is instantly recognisable - as much for his perfectly enunciated voice as his impeccably groomed appearance. He is also a man who likes to take chances. Alexander made his name in comedy at the turn of the millennium, as one half of the BAFTA winning duo Armstrong & Miller. Then in 2009, on the back of his success as a regular guest host on "Have I Got News For You", he was offered a permanent role as the host of BBC1's "Pointless". Always one for a new challenge, Armstrong leapt at the chance. Now, he is branching out again.

The Drama League, embarking on a landmark year of celebration commemorating its 100 years of service to the American theater, will honor Golden Globe and three-time Tony Award winner and musical theater icon Bernadette Peters as their Centennial Honoree.  The Drama League Centennial Gala is set for Monday evening, November 2, 2015 at The Plaza (768 Fifth Avenue) in New York City.
