Works & Process Announces November Programs At Gibney Center, Guggenheim Museum, Lincoln Center, And New York Public Library

This November, Works & Process continues to amplify its support for performing artists and their creative process, producing residencies across New York State and presenting a robust series of programs at the Guggenheim Museum and expanding offerings to Gibney Center, Lincoln Center, and The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, in partnership with the Jerome Robbins Dance Division. Featuring premieres by Les Ballet Afrik, Ephrat Asherie Dance, and Masterz at Work Dance Family; performances by Ladies of Hip-Hop and LayeRhythm Dance Conversation with New York City Club Legends; and additional LaunchPAD 'Process as Destination' residencies.

National Black Theatre has announced the cast for The Gospel Woman - the first workshop production of its 2022-2023 programmatic season. Performances are set to run from November 9 through November 13, 2022 at Chelsea Factory in NYC.

After much recognition, including a festival finalist and selection for a prestigious showcase, For Colored Boyz on the verge of a nervous breakdown when freedom ain't enuff is making its World/ Regional Premiere. Written, directed, and choreographed by Bryan-Keyth Wilson, this choreopoem dives deep into the lived experience of five men of color and the challenges of a racist and oppressive society.

651 ARTS - Brooklyn's premier organization for the African Diasporic performing arts - today named Toya Lillard as the renowned institution's Executive Director.
