Amid concerts and events this summer at the Hollywood Bowl, a production of Jonathan Larson's Tony-winning RENT is set to run three performances at the Bowl from August 6 through August 8, 2010. The cast for this production will be announced at a later date.

BroadwayWorld TV's Los Angeles correspondent Michael Sterling, got up close and personal today with the cast of RENT at rehearsals for the Hollywood Bowl presentation of the groundbreaking musical August 6 through 8, 2010. Sterling spoke in detail with the show's star-studded cast and director about the upcoming performances at one of the world's most renowned venues.

RENT, written by Jonathan Larson, will be performed at the Hollywood Bowl for three performances only, Friday and Saturday August 6 and 7 at 8:30pm, and Sunday August 8 at 7:30pm. Neil Patrick Harris will direct the production, with musical direction by Tim Weil and choreography by Jamal Sims. The cast includes Skylar Astin, Wayne Brady, Vanessa Hudgens, Telly Leung, Collins Pennie, Nicole Scherzinger, Tracie Thoms, and Aaron Tveit.

Yesterday, July 6, Target and Enrique Iglesias hosted the launch of the exclusive version of his new album 'Euphoria' at My House in Los Angeles, California. Following an extensive worldwide search, newcomer Kenny Wormald will play the highly coveted role of ‘Ren', opposite previously announced star Julianne Hough as ‘Ariel'. Dennis Quaid also joins the cast in the role of ‘Reverend Moore', along with Miles Teller as ‘Willard'.

During the week spanning the final 3 nights of the TV Season and May Sweep leading into the extended Memorial Day holiday weekend (w/o 5/24/10), ABC's 'Dancing' season finales finished in the Top 10 TV shows among both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49: 'Dancing with the Stars' - No. 3/No. 6 and 'DWTS the Results Show' - No. 4/No. 7. ABC's 6th-season premiere of 'The Bachelorette' finished among the Top 10 TV shows for the week with its core audience of Women 18-34 (No. 9) and Women 18-49 (No. 9).

With 10th-season the season closer of Dancing with the Stars, ABC nearly tied Fox with the Tuesday finale of Idol into Glee as the most-watched network (pacing within 300k viewers - 15.2 million vs. 15.5 million) on the final Tuesday of the TV Season. ABC considerably narrowed the gap with Fox from the comparable year-ago night (900k on 5/19/09). Also on the night, ABC outdrew CBS with its drama finales by 2.0 million viewers (13.2 million) and NBC with The Biggest Loser and Parenthood finales by 6.6 million viewers (8.6 million).

Four remaining couples face off in the semifinals of 'Dancing with the Stars,' performing one new Ballroom and one new Latin dance to determine which three couples will make it to the finals, MONDAY, MAY 17 (8:00-9:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

NBC's renewed vocal-competition series 'The Sing-Off' will be traveling to four U.S. cities in May in search of the most talented a capella singing groups to compete for a chance at a Sony Music recording contract. Auditions will take place in New York City (May 22), Nashville (May 29), Chicago (May 31) and Los Angeles (June 5).

This week on 'Dancing with the Stars,' the competition heats up as the remaining couples will take on a new challenge with the Samba or Argentine Tango, and all seven teams will hit the dance floor together in a swing dance marathon.
