Lincoln School Superintendent Says He Lost His Job After Appearing in THE PRODUCERS

According to an article in Omaha's World-Herald, the superintendent of Parkview Christian School in Lincoln, NE, Harold Scott, was 'removed from his position' on Saturday, August 3, after appearing in a community theatre production of THE PRODUCERS.

According to a new online listing, tickets are now available for three special encore performances of currently-running Broadway comedy THE NANCE, starring Nathan Lane, which apparently will be filmed for upcoming presentation as part of PBS series LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER.

The show stars Peter Scolari with Conrad John Schuck and Jackie Hoffman. The book is by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart with lyrics and music by Stephen Sondheim; music direction by Ethyl Will; and directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge.

Earlier today, BroadwayWorld confirmed that 2013 Tony nominee Nathan Lane was injured during a performance of THE NANCE last night and had to be replaced by his understudy, Stephen DeRosa. BWW has now confirmed that Lane will indeed go on in tonight's performance at the Lyceum Theatre despite his injury.
