Celebrity Series of Boston is holding its first calls this weekend for Le Grand Continental, the most infectious, contemporary, community line dance ever imagined. Following on the success of Street Pianos Boston, Celebrity Series is looking for 150+ people of all ages to help them cap their 75th anniversary celebration with Le Grand Continental-a weekend of community dance performance that will be held May 16-18 in Copley Square Park.

Blue Man Group Las Vegas takes to the ice for a special performance and to cheer on the Las Vegas Wranglers as they take on the Bakersfield Condors inside Orleans Arena (4500 W. Tropicana Ave.) at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9. In support of the hometown hockey team, Blue Man Group will energize fans prior to the highly anticipated matchup with a one-of-a-kind rendition of 'The Star-Spangled Banner.'

Alonzo King LINES Ballet Returns to Harris Theater with Two Chicago Premieres, 2/27-28

San Francisco-based Alonzo King LINES Ballet, led by visionary Founder and Artistic Director Alonzo King, will present two alternate programs at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, one on Thursday, February 27 at 7:30PM and the other on Friday, February 28 at 7:30PM, featuring two of the company's newest interdisciplinary collaborations: The Thursday night performance welcomes acclaimed Israeli mezzo-soprano Maya Lahyani in her Chicago debut, and Friday night highlights an original score performed live by Grammy Award-winning double bassist Edgar Meyer in a Chicago premiere. The Harris Theater presentation of Alonzo King LINES Ballet is made possible thanks to generous support from The PrivateBank, Opening Night sponsor.

Internationally acclaimed pianist Rueibin Chen will perform an evening of Rachmaninoff at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts as part of its inaugural season on Thursday, March 27 and Friday, March 28 at 8pm. Honoring Rachmaninoff's 140th anniversary, Chen has been touring worldwide performing programs dedicated to the composer. He is the first pianist to perform Rachmaninoff's three Nocturnes in Asia and California, USA. His 2014 world tour will include in Greater China, performing concertos with orchestras as well as solo recitals.

The Oregon Ballet Theatre Presents REVEAL, 2/22-3/1

On the heels of a highly successful run of George Balanchine's “The Nutcracker”, Oregon Ballet Theatre will show a multitude of facets with REVEAL at the Keller Auditorium, February 22 – March 1, 2014. Four works will appear on the bill, three of which were or will be created on the dancers of OBT. Former Artistic Director Christopher Stowell returns to choreograph his first new work on the company since departing from that post a year ago. Returning to the OBT stage are James Kudelka's “Almost Mozart”, created for the company to much acclaim in 2006 and chosen for the ballet's most recent appearance at the Kennedy Center in the Ballet Across America festival last June, and Christopher Wheeldon's “Liturgy”, a profound meditation set to the music of Arvo Pa?rt which OBT first performed in 2012. Rounding out this feast of dance is Nicolo Fonte's daring and visually striking “Bolero”. Former Principal Dancer Artur Sultanov returns to the stage for only these performances to partner Principal Dancer Alison Roper in every show of this work, originally created on the duo in 2008.

The Ballets de Monte-Carlo will celebrate Choreographer-Director Jean-Christophe Maillot's 20th anniversary with the New York premiere of LAC (After Swan Lake), Maillot's personal vision of Tchaikovsky's masterwork, running for four performances at New York City Center, March 14 - 16, 2014. LAC will be presented by The Ballets De Monte-Carlo under the Presidency of H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover, in association with New York City Center and Ardani Artists. LAC (After Swan Lake) has scenery by visual artist Ernest Pignon-Ernest and costumes by Philippe Guillotel.
