ON KENTUCKY AVENUE Revue to Begin Performances 2/2 at Stage 72

ON KENTUCKY AVENUE, a musical revue based loosely on fact and mostly fiction about the people and performers who took the stage and filled the tables at the majestic Club Harlem 'on Kentucky Avenue' in the north section of Atlantic City from the 1930s until the late 1980s, will make its NYC commercial stage debut at STAGE72/THE TRIAD, 158 West 72nd Street, on Sunday, February 2, with performances at 3pm and 7pm and Monday, February 3 at 7pm in honor of Black History Month.

The New York Philharmonic, in collaboration with Juilliard, presents a farewell chamber music recital in honor of Concertmaster Glenn Dicterow, longtime Juilliard faculty member who is retiring from Juilliard and the New York Philharmonic at the end of the current season. The concert on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. in Alice Tully Hall features Mr. Dicterow with his fellow New York Philharmonic musicians and guests, most of whom also have a strong Juilliard connection, and includes specially selected works by John Corigliano, Korngold, and Dvorak that reflect Mr. Dicterow's career in both New York and Los Angeles.

Los Altos, CA, December 18, 2013 – The Peninsula Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Music Director Mitchell Sardou Klein, will continue its 65th anniversary season with a pair of concerts entitled “Fountain of Youth” featuring the world premiere of a new Double Concerto for Cello, Clarinet and Orchestra by young composer and clarinetist Jonathan Russell with the composer and award-winning young cellist Nathan Chan as soloistsMarch 21 and 22 in San Mateo and Cupertino. The concerts will also include Grieg's In Autumn, the Intermezzo, Nocturne and Wedding March from Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream; Lalo's Cello Concerto with Nathan Chan and Debussy's Premiere Rapsodie for Clarinet and Orchestra with Jonathan Russell.The concerts will be given Friday, March 21, at 8 pm at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center and Saturday, March 22, at 8 pm at Flint Center/DeAnza College. Ruth Wilson (Saving Mr Banks, Anna Christie, A Streetcar Named Desire, Luther, The Lone Ranger) will star in the London premiere of The El. Train: three one-act plays by Eugene O'Neill (The Web, Before Breakfast and The Dreamy Kid). The plays, written between 1913 and 1918, are being presented together for the first time. Ruth will act in The Web and Before Breakfast, directed by Sam Yates, and will make her directorial debut with The Dreamy Kid. Combining live music with immersive design, all housed in the intimate setting of Grade II listed Hoxton Hall (built 1863, seating an audience of 125), The El. Train will run for a limited four-week season from tonight, 6 December - 30 December, with press nights on the 12 & 13 December. Design is by Richard Kent, with lighting by Neil Austin and original composition and sound design by Alex Baranowski. The El. Train is being produced by Found Productions.
