Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber have announced a second extension of Porchlight's 22nd season opener, the multi-Tony Award-winning In The Heights, now playing through Saturday, Nov. 19, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, book by Quiara Alegria Hudes.

Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber are proud to announce a second extension of Porchlight's 22nd season opener, the multi-Tony Award-winning In The Heights, now playing through Saturday, Nov. 19, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, book by Quiara Alegria Hudes. Directed and co-choreographed by Brenda Didier, co-choreographed by Chris Carter, music directed by Diana Lawrence and assistant directed by Adrian Abel Azevedo, at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. The  performance times are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. with an added Thursday matinee, October 6 at 1:30 p.m. There is no 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6. Tickets are $43 - $51. Single tickets may be purchased at 773.327.5252 or at PorchlightMusicTheatre.org.

American Theater Company (ATC) opens musical comedy Xanadu, the final production of its Legacy Season, this Sunday, June 5. Presented as a tribute to ATC's late Artistic Director PJ Paparelli-a not-so-secret fan of this camp classic-Xanadu is directed by Lili-Anne Brown and runs at ATC now through July 17, 2016. The production has music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar and a book by Douglas Carter Beane, based on the 1980 Universal Pictures film of the same title.

?Jeff Award-nominee and HIV+ director/producer Christopher Pazdernik returns with the second annual Chris' Birthday Belt-Fest, a benefit concert for Howard Brown Health on Monday, May 16, 8:00 PM at Uptown Underground, 4707 N. Broadway, Chicago. Featuring award-winning musical theater performers from across Chicago, the evening will be co-music directed by Dustin Struhall and Jeff Award-winner Aaron Benham. NO ONE HERE BUT US WITCHES, a fun, campy and touching witch-themed cabaret conceived by Harmony France, will perform June 22 and June 29, 2015 at 8 pm at Uptown Underground, 4707 N. Broadway in Chicago. Featuring Chicago actresses Missy Aguilar, Harmony France, Amanda Horvath and Danni Smith, the two-night only cabaret is directed by Geoffrey Bleeker with musical direction by Aaron Benham. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. $15 tickets are available for students, military members, and veterans. Tickets are currently available at uptownunderground.net. A cash bar is available and guests must be at least 21 years of age.
