York's ROTHSCHILD & SONS to Receive Cast Recording

The Off-Broadway cast recording of the new Bock and Harnick musical, Rothschild & Sons, an intimate reimagining of the Tony nominated musical The Rothschilds, will be recorded and released by JAY Records. Produced by John Yap, the recording will feature the original cast of The York Theatre Company production who will gather at The Avatar Studios on Monday, October 26, 2015 to lay down the tracks for the recording scheduled for release on JAY Records in early January. Executive Producers are John Yap and Arnold Mittelman.

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, in association with Arnold Mittelman and The National Jewish Theater Foundation, is pleased to announce that Glory Crampton will join previously announced Tony Award nominee Robert Cuccioli in the world premiere production of Rothschild & Sons, with music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, book by Sherman Yellen, with direction by Jeffrey B. Moss. Mr. Cuccioli will star as Mayer Rothschild, with Ms. Crampton in the pivotal role as his wife, Gutele. Additional casting will be announced shortly.

Perhaps living on the edge of destruction for so long enhanced her ability to face disaster with a sense of hope and laughter. Now being presented by the West Coast Jewish Theatre, the American Premiere of her play O MY GOD deals with the power of faith, belief and how best to cope with the obstacles of everyday life with a sense that all will work out for the best. The production runs through June 7 at the Pico Playhouse in West LA.
