Mondays Dark at The Space in Las Vegas was started by Rock of Ages’ Mark Shunock and wife, Cheryl Daro. Over the years, The Space has welcomed a variety of Broadway performers, local artists and nationally-recognized talent from across the country. The goal is and always has been for entertainers to give back directly to the Las Vegas community.

Hammonds House Museum, through their new Hammonds House Digital programming, is creating and curating rich arts and cultural experiences that reach audiences beyond the walls of the museum. 

The Las Vegas entertainment community has banded together and recorded a new song, a?oeNeeding Each Other,a?? along with an accompanying video. The song and video can be seen online on YouTube and was created as a fundraiser to assist the entertainment community.

In Las Vegas, entertainers support each other and the arts with their time and talent. Mondays Dark, a variety show donating 100 percent of ticket sales to a selected charity, presented Getting' Funky: A Tribute to Soul Train raising $10,000 for A Public Fit.

February is Black History month celebrating the richness of African American culture. Michelle Johnson, known as the Las Vegas First Lady of Jazz, will present Sankofa: a Celebration Concert of African American Music and History at Myron's Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center Feb. 23.

Las Vegas Philharmonic will present a Very Vegas Showcase on Saturday, October 12 at 7:30PM at Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

International vocalist Michelle Johnson celebrates the great singer-songwriters including Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, Elton John, Smokey Robinson, Carole King, Kenney Loggins, and Paul McCartney. Jim Caruso's Cast Party stormed Las Vegas for one night only, on Friday, July 26. The a?oeextreme open mic,a?? which celebrates musical and variety talent, returned to Myron's Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center. 

April is Jazz Appreciation Month, and Ella Fitzgerald embodied this genre. International vocalist Michelle Johnson will pay tribute to Ella, known as the First Lady of Song, Queen of Jazz, and Lady Ella when Michelle Johnson Presents A Tribute To Ella Fitzgerald at the Myron's Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center on April 19.

Chicago Opera Theater's Orli and Bill Staley Music Director Lidiya Yankovskaya and Stefan Edlis and Gael Neeson General Director Ashley Magnus today announced the plans for the company's 47th season, to include productions of two exciting contemporary operas, a Chicago premiere by Rachmaninov, and the company's second world premiere commission. Yankovskaya will conduct each of these Chicago Opera Theater (COT) productions.

Grammy Award-nominated singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Louise Goffin brings her talents to the classroom on Nov. 3 and on stage on Nov. 4 at The Space LV.

In a uniquely Columbus artistic collaboration, the Columbus Symphony and Opera Columbus have joined forces to present a concert version of one of the most famous grand operas of all time in Aida in Concert. Conducted by Columbus Symphony Music Director Rossen Milanov, the performances will feature a host of internationally renowned guest vocalists, the 140-member Columbus Symphony Chorus, and the full orchestra of the Columbus Symphony.

The goal is to raise $25,000 by end of year to help support and expand the educational programming TRU offers the theater community, as well as to make possible travel stipends to out-of-state writers who are accepted into the annual TRU Voices Reading Series.
