Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC) and Producing Artistic Director Michael J. Bobbitt announce the NY Off-Broadway Premiere of Bob Marley's Three Little Birds at the New Victory Theatre tonight, February 7-23, 2014 after a local run at the recently completed Bowie State Fine and Performing Arts Center in January, 2014.

A jammin' new musical with live accompaniment featuring the timeless music and lyrics of Bob Marley, Bob Marley's Three Little Birds shares the legendary reggae artist's message of peace and love with a new generation of songbirds. Opening the day after what would have been the singer and songwriter's 69th birthday, Bob Marley's Three Little Birds performs at The New Victory Theater on 42nd Street in Times Square from February 7 - 23, 2014.

Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC) opens 2014 with Miss Nelson is Missing, its third production of its 62nd Professional Season. Based on one of the most memorable books its time by Harry Allard and James Marshall, Miss Nelson is Missing is written by nationally-renowned, local playwright, Joan Cushing, who is the most produced playwright in children's theatre according to TYA Today Magazine. This children's favorite directed byJennifer Nelson (2011's Mirandy and Brother Wind and former Producing Artistic Director of the African Continuum Theatre) and music directed by Helen Hayes Award Recipient and 8-time nominee, George Fulginiti-Shakar, will run January 17- March 9, 2014. Miss Nelson is Missing stars Helen Hayes Award Nominee Jessica Lauren Ball (Olney's Cinderella, Toby's Legally Blonde) as Miss Nelson, the well-natured and long-suffering teacher of the disobedient Room 207, who is suddenly replaced by the petrifying substitute, Miss Viola Swamp. Based on the traditional holiday song, this world premiere by Helen Hayes Award Recipient Renee Calarco (2011's If You Give a Cat a Cupcake) and directed by first-time Adventure Theatre MTC director Michael Dove, will run November 15- December 30, 2013. The Twelve Days of Christmas stars Helen Hayes Award Recipient Deidra LaWan Starnes (star of Charlotte's Web, 2011's Helen Hayes Award Winning Outstanding Production-TYA) as Shirley the Partridge, the detective in the case of the missing five golden rings. Goodnight Moon Reopened at Glen Echo Park with Added Performances

After 19 total cancelled performances and a loss of over $60,000, Adventure Theatre MTC has reopened and extended Goodnight Moon, recommended for all ages. An extension through November 3 has been added for this production as well as 7pm and 4:30pm all weekend show dates to accommodate ticketed patrons. A 501c3, Adventure Theatre MTC receives no federal funding, but is located on National Park Grounds in historicGlen Echo Park.

Adventure Theatre MTC, a 501c3 organization, has cancelled all October 5, 2013 performances of the highly acclaimed Goodnight Moon. Adventure Theatre MTC receives no federal funding, but is located on National Park Grounds in historic Glen Echo Park. All office operations are temporarily moved to its Academy location in Wintergreen Plaza (Rockville, MD).

Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC) announces the musical Goodnight Moon will open its Professional 2013-2014 62nd Season. Based on the cherished book by Margaret Wise Brown, this popular show, which earned ATMTC its first Helen Hayes Award nomination, will run September 20- October 27, 2013. Goodnight Moon is directed by Roberta Gasbarre, (director of the 2010 Helen Hayes Outstanding Production- TYA nominee - The Red Balloon), and features Anissa Hartline (2006-2008 National Tour of Cats) as the Little Old Lady Whispering Hush in addition to ATMTC's youth performers as the Bunny and his friend Mouse. Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC) opens 2013 with Winnie the Pooh, the third of its Professional 2012-2013 61stSeason, based on the book by A.A. Milne. Directed by Jerry Whiddon, director of the Helen Hayes Award Recipient for Outstanding Production, Theatre for Young Audiences' If You Give a Pig a Pancake, and adapted by Clanché du Rand, Winnie The Pooh will feature Washington, D.C. area favorites including James Gardiner and Todd Scofield in their ATMTC debut and Joshua Morgan, Artistic Director of No Rules Theatre Co. ATMTC will also continue its introduction of youth actors to the professional stage with Holden Brettell as Christopher Robin. This show is recommended for all ages.
