Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC) announces its 2013 holiday show for the Professional 2013-2014 62nd Season. Based on the traditional holiday song, this world premiere by Helen Hayes Award Recipient Renee Calarco (2011's If You Give a Cat a Cupcake) and directed by first-time Adventure Theatre MTC director Michael Dove, will run November 15- December 30, 2013. The Twelve Days of Christmas stars Helen Hayes Award Recipient Deidra LaWan Starnes (star of Charlotte's Web, 2011's Helen Hayes Award Winning Outstanding Production-TYA) as Shirley the Partridge, the detective in the case of the missing five golden rings. Tickets are $19 each and can be purchased online at www.adventuretheatre-mtc.org or by calling 301.634.2270.

Christmas celebrations are just around the corner and Shirley the Partridge has got some problems to solve! The French Hens are arguing, the six geese have flown to Florida for the winter and worst of all...someone has stolen the Five Golden Rings! What will happen to Christmas?

Michael J. Bobbitt, Producing Artistic Director of Adventure Theatre MTC, says of the production, "We are an organization that definitely knows holiday cheer, and we love celebrating it with our patrons. ATMTC is so excited to welcome back Deidra and Renee, and couldn't be more thrilled to include Michael Dove in our long list of talented directors."

The Twelve Days of Christmas is recommended for all ages. Tickets are $19 each with group and field trip rates available. Children under the age of 1 are free. The press performance will be Sunday, November 17th at 2pm. All performances will take place at Adventure Theatre MTC, 7300 MacArthur Blvd, Glen Echo, MD, 20812 in the historic Glen Echo Park.

Adventure Theatre (founded in 1951) and Musical Theater Center (founded in 1986) merged into one organization, Adventure Theatre MTC, in 2012. Located in Glen Echo Park (Glen Echo, MD) and Wintergreen Plaza (Rockville, MD), ATMTC cultivates new generations of artists and audiences by creating memorable theatrical productions and by providing young people the highest quality musical theater training. ATMTC serves students at all skill levels and families from diverse communities, approximately 75,000 people annually.
