Bob Marley's Three Little Birds will be presented by Bay Area Children's Theatre as part of Marin Theatre Company's Theater Series for Young Audiences. Adapted by Michael J. Bobbitt; based on the story by Cedella Marley, with music by Bob Marley; additional music and lyrics by John L. Cornelius, II, the show will be directed by Michael Mohammed and runs tonight, March 7 - March 15, 2015.

Little Red Riding Hood's adventure to grandma's house has taken a toe-tappin' twist down south just in time for Mardi Gras. At Adventure Theatre MTC, the whole family can enjoy a festive celebration with Petite Rouge: A Cajun Red Riding Hood. Based on Charles Perrault's classic fairy tale and adapted from the book by Mike Artell and Jim Harris, Petite Rouge takes audience's on a musical journey into the swamps of Louisiana. Directed and choreographed by Adventure's own Michael J. Bobbitt, this show is a delight for all ages.

Adventure Theatre MTC brings the sights and sounds of Louisiana to Glen Echo Park with its upcoming production Petite Rouge, A Cajun Red Riding Hood from January 30 through March 8. This family-friendly, Zydeco-driven musical was adapted from the book by Mike Artell and Jim Harris by D.C. native Joan Cushing. Petite Rouge is directed and choreographed by ATMTC Producing Artistic Director Michael J. Bobbitt with musical direction by Darius Smith.

MTC Announces 2nd Annual Theater Series for Young Audiences in Partnership with Bay Area Children's Theatre

Building on the success of its inaugural Theater Series for Young Audiences, of which every performance was sold out, Marin Theatre Company will again partner with Bay Area Children's Theatre to present five productions in MTC's 99-seat Lieberman Theatre and 231-seat Boyer Theatre. The series includes four BACT productions - Five Little Monkeys, James and the Giant Peach, Three Little Birds, and Fancy Nancy, the Musical! - as well as one MTC production - Around the World in 80 Days. Based in Mill Valley, MTC is a 47-year old professional nonprofit theater that is a destination for smart, uncommon and adventurous theater.

Pinkalicious, the Musical is directed by Carl Menninger, with music direction from Wayne Chadwick and choreography and movement by Michael J. Bobbitt. Carolyn Agan, who recently performed as Olive Ostrovsky in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Ford's Theater, plays the titular heroine.

ATMTC to Launch Musical Theater Pre-Professional Program in September

Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC) Academy announces the launch of a Pre-Professional Program to prepare exemplary young musical theater artists in grades 4-12 for college and/or a professional career, starting in September 2014. Led by a highly qualified faculty, and with a curriculum that incorporates the National & State Fine Arts Standards of Learning, the Pre-Professional Program will provide students with comprehensive training in singing, dancing, acting, and performance from September through May each year.
