CAPS FOR SALE, THE MUSICAL, coming off a national tour to more than 17 cities, ends its monkey business Off-Broadway at The New Victory Theater, tonight, February 27, through March 6, 2016.

A persistent peddler, his tower of caps and a troop of mischievous monkeys jump from the pages of Esphyr Slobodkina's Caps for Sale and onto the New Victory stage in celebration of the award-winning book's 75th Anniversary. Adventure Theatre MTC's Caps for Sale the Musical will make its New York premiere this February 27-March 6.

Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC) launches its 2016 year with the musical James and the Giant Peach, based on the popular book by Roald Dahl (1916-1990) with a score written by Tony Award nominated duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, A Christmas Story). Sponsored by Geico Insurance, James and the Giant Peach features a talented cast including Helen Hayes Award Nominated Jimmy Mavrikes (First Stage, Bat Boy) and the much-praised Tobias Young (Olney's Guys and Dolls). ATMTC Academy Pre-Professional Company Members, Eli Schulman and Henry Neipoetter, share the role of James. Directed by Helen Hayes Award Recipient and Artistic Director of The Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, Michael Baron, the show runs February 14- April 5, 2016. Michael J. Bobbitt and Adventure Theatre MTC were recognized today by the Center for Nonprofit Advancement as the 2015 winner of the Gelman Rosenberg and Freedman EXCEL Award. Michael and Adventure Theatre MTC will be awarded a $7,000 professional development grant; communication exposure through print and social media; and training and development opportunities for the staff and Executive Director through the Center's Learning & Leadership Institute.
