New Gene Krupa Orchestra, Led by Michael Berkowitz, Comes to Centenary Stage Tonight

Although groomed to be a priest by his devout parents, audiences can celebrate the fact that legendary drummer Gene Krupa found a different calling. Kicking off Centenary Stage Company's (CSC) Summer Jamfest Series is the New Gene Krupa Orchestra led by Michael Berkowitz tonight, July 12th at 8 pm at Hackettstown's Lackland Center. Michael Berkowitz brings the legendary Krupa magic back to life for a whole new generation. With an infectious energy that draws both listeners and dancers alike, this concert is a winner with audiences of all ages.

Wells Fargo Center for the Arts & Santa Rosa Symphony to Celebrate 10th Anniversary of Symphony Pops Series

Wells Fargo Center for the Arts and the Santa Rosa Symphony celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Symphony Pops Series. Led by Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz, the 10th anniversary season will be comprised of four Sunday afternoon performances featuring a star-studded collection of music with tributes to Marvin Hamlisch, Barbra Streisand, ABBA, John Williams, and songs of holiday cheer at the Ruth Finley Person Theater at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts (50 Mark West Springs Road, Santa Rosa). Season ticket packages ($109 - $255), which include all four concerts and pre-concert talks, are available now. Single tickets ($32 - $80) go on sale August 22. On the heels of their one-year wedding anniversary, distinguished entertainers Christine Reisner-Rebic (an international cabaret chanteuse and dancer) and Don Rebic (Broadway and cabaret musical director and composer) will join forces for the New York City debut of their first full-length cabaret act as a duo. 'Look Who's in Love' features their original songs as well as songs by veteran Broadway composer Albert Hague (Christine's uncle) and timeless jazzy standards by Irving Berlin, Jule Styne, Jimmy Van Heusen, Betty Comden and Adolph Green. The show is directed by Michael Bush. The performance is set for Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at The Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Cafe, 407 West 42nd Street (at 9th Avenue), NYC. This PNC Arts Alive Concert for Kids is a one-hour classical concert for young audiences at the Capitol Theatre on March 25, and will feature rhythmic music from all the Americas-North, South, and Central. The CSO's PNC Arts Alive Concerts for Kids are funded by a grant from PNC Arts Alive, a three-year, $1.5 million initiative of The PNC Foundation that supports visual and performing arts groups with the goal of increasing arts access and engagement in new and innovative ways.
