Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical - the record-setting New York Christmas sensation - is to play a UK Tour in 2019, ahead of a Christmas season at The Lowry. Featuring the hit songs "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas", Max the Dog narrates the show, as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is 'two sizes too small', decides to steal Christmas away from the Holiday loving Whos. The ArtisTree Music Theatre Festival offers a season of live, professional musical theatre productions that run from August to October each year. Our Festival is modeled after the 'summer stock' tradition of staging shows: we use a resident company of actors and artists to create a series of musicals, with an all-new production presented every few weeks across our three-month season.

The Old Globe today presents the Globe's 21st annual production of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas!The holiday musical will run November 3 - December 29 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Previews run November 3 - November 7. Opening night is Thursday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m. The Grinch isdirected by James Vasquez, with book and lyrics by Timothy Mason and music by Mel Marvin. The original production of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas! was conceived and directed by Jack O'Brien with additional lyrics by Theodor S. Geisel, additional music by Albert Hague, and original choreography by John DeLuca.

Where will a holiday memory be made this season? Somewhere near Whoville staged at Children's Theatre Company (CTC)? The illustrious CTC opened their musical extravaganza' 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' penned by the iconic Dr. Seuss beginning in 1994, and reprises the production from last season. While Theo Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, created the story in 1957, CTC envisioned a production to touch any young heart despite the actual chronological age. The production's book and lyrics by Timothy Mason together with music by Mel Marvin continue to delight audiences these past 20 years since the musical's inception--and all the memories the production has created in that span of time through the years.

Spend the holiday season on the Kimmel Center Cultural Campus, with themed programming and family-friendly activities, including: returning favorites spanning rock, Gospel, jazz, and brass; treasured traditions from various Kimmel Center Resident Companies like the Pennsylvania Ballet, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and The Philly POPS; and opportunities for holiday community service and city-wide celebrations.

Texas Christian University's School of Music is proud to present the world premiere of a new opera, The Falling and the Rising, by contemporary artistic duo Zach Redler, composer, and Jerre Dye, librettist. The new opera paints a powerful portrait of the incredible resiliency, fortitude and heroism of our nation's wounded warriors, and is the culmination of a large-scale project commissioned by TCU together with the Arizona Opera, San Diego Opera, Opera Memphis, Seagle Music Colony, Seattle Opera and the U.S. Department of Defense. A product of the TCU School of Music's dedication to commissioning new music, The Falling and the Rising will premiere at 7 p.m. April 6 at Ed Landreth Hall and Auditorium and run for five performances.

Children's Theatre Company is proud to announce its 2018-2019 Season, which includes eight productions, four commissioned premieres, three musicals, and one preschool production. The season consists of 3 ½ more weeks of performances over last year's schedule and includes summer programming.
