Organizers of the pilot Berkshire Leadership Summit, an event for women aspiring to, or already in, leadership positions in the non-profit theatre, and hosted by WAM Theatre, are excited to announce that the attendees of this event have been selected.

Woods Hole Theater Company (WHTC) brings Brian Yorkey's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning rock musical, 'next to normal', to the Community Hall this June 2017, continuing its 42 years of engaging and promoting the cultural growth of the community of Woods Hole and the vicinity. WHTC operates year-round, producing a wide variety of plays and special events at affordable prices.

For theater aritsts and theater lovers, few things compare to watching the genesis of a new piece of theater. The creation and development of a new work, from initial staged readings and workshops to final performance, is a thrilling process. Of course, there are many steps along the way and not all of them are successful. Not every aspect of the play found in the first version of the script will make it to the final version. Not every beloved moment or great-idea-at-the-time will end up making the grade when all is said and done. Still, it's a process that is vital to the present and future of theater. Vital because new blood and new life must be created and injected into the theatrical world and it's up to theater artists everywhere to make sure that happens. In our region, one of the companies doing just that is The Wilbury Group, currently presenting the second iteration of a new work, Roadhouse: The Musical.

A queer goodbye story developed and performed in actual apartments in Providence, RI, tonight, July 31st at 7:30 pm performance is its world premiere production. The performance is free and The Dixon Place Lounge is open before, during, and after the show. Proceeds directly support Dixon Place's artists and mission. Anneliese van der Pol will star in the title role in Jane Austen's EMMA at the Arizona Theatre Company. Performances begin December 31 and run through January 20, 2013.
