CrossroadsKC @ Grinders has announced the addition of Yahoo's All-Star Concert featuring Death Cab For Cutie, Josh Ritter, Old Crow Medicine Show and more to its 2012 season.

Foxhole Entertainment presents the world premiere new play KING'S RIVER which tells the intertwining stories of people living in a fictional small town in the American South, written by Andrew Rosenberg and Ean Miles Kessler, directed by David Delaney and conceived by Mssrs. Rosenberg, Kessler and Delaney. KING'S RIVER will begin previews May 22nd prior to the official press opening of Thursday, May 24th at the Medicine Show Theatre (549 West 52nd St., 3rd Floor) in Manhattan.

Medicine Show Theatre Ensemble, one of New York's longest-running experimental theatres, premieres its production of The Beggar's Opera, the original source of The Threepenny Opera in less than three weeks. The production opens tonight, April 27 and closes Saturday, May 19. Performances are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays and Wednesdays at 7 p.m., with an additional performance Tuesday, May 1 at 7 p.m. There are no performances on Mondays, Thursdays or any other Tuesday.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Massacre (Sing to Your Children), by Obie Award-winning playwright Jose Rivera, directed by Brian Mertes. Performances will begin Wednesday, April 4th at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry & West 11th Streets). The official opening night is set for Thursday, April 12th. The production is scheduled to run through May 12th.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET music supervisor and acclaimed musician Chuck Mead will be playing a one night only concert March 3 at 9:30 PM at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street). In addition to Saturday's show at Joe's Pub, Mead will also play Sunday, March 4 at Philadelphia's World Cafe.

Acclaimed British play ‘Foreign Lands' makes its off-Broadway debut for eight performances only at the Medicine Show Theatre, 549 West 52nd Street, November 10th - 13th and November 17th - 20th.

Created and performed by Ben Spatz, Rite of the Butcher is a visceral fable about the power of fantasy, as told by the Butcher -- refugee, criminal, shaman -- through poetry, martial dance, and folk songs in an invented language. This unique work opens new doors for solo theatre by combining rigorous physical and vocal craft with an investigation of pressing contemporary themes. The 45-minute piece deals with loss, trauma, and the fantasy of revenge while shifting back and forth between the style of a traditional monologue and that of European-style experimental performance. Rite of the Butcher will have its world premiere on Saturday, November 5th at 7:30pm at the United Solo Festival at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, New York City). The Big Spring Jam is returning to the Tennessee Valley. On Friday, September 23, and Saturday, September 24, the musical notes of the Big Spring Jam will return to downtown Huntsville.
