One of the most eagerly awaited new shows of this year's New York Musical Festival (NYMF) is the special event 'Midnight at the Never Get' which will be presented at 42WEST (514 West 42nd Street) for three (3) performances: Thursday, July 28 @ 9pm; Sunday, July 31 @ 9pm; Monday, August 1 @ 8pm. Produced by Michael Chase Gosselin, the musical is conceived by and starring Sam Bolen and Mark Sonnenblick, with musical direction and arrangements by Adam Podd, choreography by Andrew Palermo and directed by Max Friedman. Audiences will be transformed back to 1965 when they enter the venue to the back room of The Never Get.  Featuring a sultry score fashioned after the American Songbook, 'Midnight at The Never Get' imagines two men who never existed at a time that very much did.

Midnight at The Never Get, the greatest act that doesn't exist, produced by Michael Chase Gosselin (POPE! An Epic Musical), will be presented this summer as a NYMF @ Nite Event at The New York Musical Festival (NYMF), celebrating its 13th Anniversary Season.

Following multiple sold out engagements, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band returns to the Feinstein's/ 54 Below on Saturday February 20th to continue their official residence at the intimate Manhattan venue.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF), previously known as The New York Musical Theatre Festival, confirmed the complete slate of programming and venues for NYMF 2016, taking place from July 11 through August 7 in Midtown Manhattan.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Pearl Vodka in conjunction with That Uppity Theatre Company and Vital VOICE Magazine will present the fifth annual BRIEFS: A Festival of Short LGBTQ Plays. BRIEFS is a unique venture in St. Louis that brings together numerous directors and theatrical artists to showcase the work of eight different playwrights all under one roof. BRIEFS presents theatrical work that address the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer or questioning people. The festival is targeted to a diverse and mature audience that appreciates good theatre in unique settings.

A fifth performance will be added to the limited run due to popular demand. The show, which stars Sam Bolen and Mark Sonnenblick, was written by Sonnenblick, and directed by Don't Tell Mama's Associate Director of Programming Max Friedman.

The 9:30 PM concert, helmed by director Max Friedman, features guest vocalists Gerard Canonico (Spring Awakening, American Idiot), Nicholas Christopher (Motown The Musical, Lazarus), Matt Doyle (The Book of Mormon, Spring Awakening), Tony Award Nominee Bryce Pinkham (Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, The Heidi Chronicles), Alysha Umphress (On The Town, American Idiot), and more TBA. Friedman and Rosen co-produce the series.
