HEARTS and LANDMARK ON MAIN STREET, two Port Washington non-profits whose missions involve supporting the arts throughout the community, announce the HEARTS' 2018-19 Master Classes. This series of four FREE experiential workshops for high school students through adults, features skilled and celebrated professional artists in a variety of disciplines.

What happens when a group of talented Chicago musicians, actors, improvisers, stand-ups, songwriters, and DJs collaborate on a web series? You get "STUDIO B," the three-episode workplace comedy of a struggling Chicago recording studio trying to make a comeback along with supporting its bizarre clientele. STUDIO B can best be described as "30 Rock" meets Spinal Tap coupled with original music by composer Julie B. Nichols. Each episode follows a different musical act entering the studio to record what they hope will be their break-through hit, while the studio staff hopes it will keep them afloat. The first season of STUDIO B will be released Monday, Oct. 22 at 10 p.m. and will be available on www.studiobseries.com, as well as on Vimeo, YouTube, and Instagram TV. The creators of STUDIO B are hosting a public launch party the date of the release (Monday, Oct. 22 from 5 - 10 p.m.) at The Joinery, 2533 W. Homer Street in Logan Square, for fans and supporters to gather and watch the series. The screening will begin at 7 p.m. that night. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Booker T. Jones will bring his band to Newton North High School on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 7:30PM.  Proceeds from the "Songs and Stories from the Birth of Soul' concert will support the work of Historic Newton. MusicWorks today announced that it would be presenting 15 classic folk and rock concerts October through April at Old School Square, located at 51 N. Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach. Ten of the concerts will be presented in the venue's Crest Theatre, while five will be held in Old School Square's outdoor Pavilion.

Dolly Parton took to Twitter to share the first single from the 'Dumplin' soundtrack, a collaboration with Sia.  "Here I Am" performed by Dolly Parton & Sia is the first release from the forthcoming Dumplin' Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Available for download and streaming today, this self-penned song was originally recorded by Parton and included on her Coat of Many Colors album (October 1971). This brand-new recording of "Here I Am" captures Dolly Parton and Sia's striking vocal re-imagination of this classic album track.

Drew Holcomb has a lot to celebrate this week, beginning with the success of his annual Moon River Music Festival this past weekend, September 8-9, in Chattanooga, TN. Netflix has acquired the film “Dumplin',” which features collaborations and original music from entertainment industry icon Dolly Parton.

Virtuoso vocalist Zeshan B is widely being recognized as one of the most unique singers to come out of Chicago. Grandoozy, Denver's first ever, three-day, multi-format festival from Superfly, taking place at Overland Park this September 14, 15, & 16, announces the weekend performance schedule.

The GRAMMY Museum Experience Prudential Center, in association with the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), will launch a new program series this fall, beginning with “An Evening With Lenny Kravitz,” a four-time GRAMMY® winner, on Sept. 18, 2018, in NJPAC's Victoria Theater in Newark, N.J. The program will feature a conversation between the iconic rock musician and special guest moderator, five-time GRAMMY winner Questlove about the creation and inspiration behind Kravitz's new release, Raise Vibration. The series will continue with “An Evening With Wyclef Jean,” a three-time GRAMMY winner and founding member of the New Jersey-based Fugees Oct.16, 2018.  The acclaimed musician, producer, and songwriter will discuss his illustrious career and current projects with the Los Angeles GRAMMY Museum's Founding Executive Director, Bob Santelli, which will be followed by a special performance.

The Imperial Sound's blithe synthesis of 21st-century irony and bright, unselfconscious AM-radio pop is both brave and unique. And catchy as hell. The band's debut album, The New AMshowcases songwriter Frederick Mosher's hook-driven heritage – with influences from Todd Rundgren and Carole King to The Replacements and Elvis Costello – delivering infectious, shimmering songs that celebrate the craft and style of the best pop music. Park City Institute presents multi-talented rock musician, GRACE POTTER, Friday, July 13, 2018 at 6:00 PM, in City Park. The venue is unique to this performance, part of the Institute's 2018 St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Night Concert Series.

Lincoln Center today announced additional artists to the Out of Doors 2018 lineup, with musicians covering genres like country, funk, rock, indie-folk and more. Held in Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park and beyond from July 24 - August 12, Out of Doors is one of the country's longest-running summer outdoor festivals, offering free music, dance, spoken word and family events to all.
