Today Gorillaz share a surprise new track, Garage Palace featuring Little Simz. The song has already been raucously received at their live shows and now it comes accompanied by a brilliantly retro 8-bit video game visualizer. Collaborating with Little Simz' illustrator McKay Felt and director Noah Harris, this video adds to their long run of innovative and ground-breaking work, with the game ingeniously following Simz through dark alleys and cloudy skies on a series of combats, missions and obstacles to reach the top of a tower block for her final battle, but not without the collective muscle of Gorillaz behind her. The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia (UBC) presents Crosscurrents, a collaboration by virtuoso musicians Zakir Hussain and Dave Holland on October 28 at 8pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. Hussain, the world's foremost tabla master, joins forces with Holland bandleader, composer, and 2017 NEA Jazz Master bassist alongside a stellar quintet including saxophonist Chris Potter and vocalist Shankar Mahadevan. Together, the ensemble will explore the fascinating artistic intersections between jazz and Indian music, and bridge two genres seemingly worlds apart.

Wilco will play mid-November concerts in St. Louis, MO and St. Paul, MN to close out their 2017 touring schedule. The shows – at The Pageant in St. Louis on Nov. 13 and at The Palace Theatre in St. Paul on Nov. 15 and 16 – will be the last chance for fans to see the band perform for a while
