Laughter will fill the Briggs Opera House in White River Junction as Northern Stage's presents the Off-Broadway smash Greater Tuna. This madcap romp features two veteran Northern Stage actors, Scott Cote (Beauty & the Beast, Cabaret, Moon Over Buffalo) and Kevin Loreque (I Am My Own Wife, The Full Monty, CATS, The Elephant Man, Cabaret,) playing 19 characters-men, women, even Yippy the dog-in 90 minutes. With 15-second costume changes and rapid-fire humor, this promises to be an audience favorite.

Ben Affleck presented his longtime friend and co-star, Matt Damon, with the 24th American Cinematheque Award at the Cinematheque's annual benefit gala on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel's International Ballroom in Beverly Hills. The award presentation concluded an evening of in-person tributes from Damon's colleagues Casey Affleck, Don Cheadle, Clint Eastwood; Jimmy Kimmel, Greg Kinnear, Charlize Theron and Robin Williams. In addition, George Clooney and Ben Stiller paid tribute by partaking in individual pre-taped comedy sketches while President William Jefferson Clinton appeared in and narrates a piece surrounding Damon's humanitarian efforts that was be played during the show.

Oscar®-Grammy®-Emmy®-Tony®- award-winning composer, conductor, and pianist Marvin Hamlisch, the renowned young British jazz/cabaret singer Jacqui Dankworth, and the popular gypsy-klezmer-rock band Golem are celebrating music and the human spirit on Monday, May 10, 2010; 6 to 10:30 p.m. The event at New York's legendary Russian Tea Room, 150 W. 57th Street, "from Belarus to Broadway - Celebrating MUSIC!" is a benefit for Music For All Seasons (MFAS). The evening will feature Marvin Hamlisch speaking about his life and music with interviewer/MC Nancy Shear. Jacqui Dankworth will perform her interpretations of Hamlisch's music, and the music of Golem will begin and end the evening.

Last Night, March 7, stars from all over the world came out for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards Ceremony at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood California. 'The Hurt Locker' won Best Picture and the film's director Kathryn Bigelow took home the award for Best Director. Jeff Bridges took home the Oscar for Best Actor for his work in 'Crazy Heart', Sandra Bullock won Best Actress for 'The Blind Side', Christoph Waltz took home Best Supporting Actor for 'Inglourious Basterds' and Mo'Niqe garnered the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'Precious'.
