TimeLine Reveals Playwrights Collective, Welcomes New Associate Artists, Board Members

TimeLine Theatre Company has announced the addition of several new artists and community leaders to its ranks with the creation of a new Playwrights Collective, plus the naming of four new Associate Artists and eight members to its Board of Directors. AMC Renews HELL ON WHEELS for Expanded Fourth Season

AMC announced today that it renewed its original Western drama Hell on Wheels for an expanded fourth season. For its third season, Hell on Wheels was moved to Saturday a day that AMC has traditionally devoted to classic Western films and television shows and the show attracted a larger audience than it had in its second seasonon Sunday nights. In its third season, Hell on Wheels delivered an average audience of 3.3 million viewers, live and with three days of time shifting. (more...)

Rita Moreno Helps Raise $510,000 for Berkeley Rep at ONSTAGE Gala

Last night, April 28, at the Four Seasons San Francisco, more than 380 people celebrated Tony Award-winning Berkeley Repertory Theatre with actor Rita Moreno, who hosted an evening for theatre lovers, gourmands, and philanthropists. Moreno entertained the crowd with a series of songs and jokes. A gala held each year to benefit Berkeley Rep, ONSTAGE raised more than $510,000 to support the nonprofit's artistic efforts and its education and outreach programs for the local community. The producers of Ghost The Musical announced today that Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy will reprise their starring roles as Sam and Molly, which they originated in London's hit West End production, when it premieres this Spring at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street). They will be joined by Bryce Pinkham as Carl Bruner and newcomer Da'Vine Joy Randolph as Oda Mae Brown. Preview performances will begin on Thursday, March 15, 2012.
