Lana Gordon will play the role of Persephone in Hadestown, the winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, starting Tuesday, February 22 at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre. Gordon previously starred on Broadway as Velma Kelly in Chicago and was an original cast member in The Lion King and is currently the Persephone alternate for Amber Gray, who originated the role, and as previously announced will play her final performance in Hadestown on Saturday evening, February 19.

Lana Gordon will be the alternate Persephone, allowing Amber Gray, who continues her award-winning run at the Walter Kerr Theatre, to spend more time with her young family. Gordon will join the cast the week beginning Monday, October 11 and will perform the role of Persephone twice a week.
