Jeremy Jordan, star of Broadway, film, and television, just made his 54 Below and New York City solo concert debut in Breaking Character, running through November 13 at 54 Below.

Every year, there are a couple of young performers who seem to skyrocket up the cabaret charts and one of this season's emerging stars is Maxine Linehan. She came to the States from Ireland just a dozen years ago, performed her debut cabaret show in 2006, and then three years later staged a Petula Clark tribute. In the five years since, Linehan acted in Off-Broadway plays and appeared in the national tour of South Pacific, but has spent much of this period raising 4-year-old Rebecca and 21-month old Gabriel with songwriter/musician husband Andrew Koss. But with the help of nightlife impresario Scott Siegel, Linehan is definitely making up for lost time on the cabaret front. This spring, she staged performances of her autobiographical show An American Journey at Terminus Recording Studios for a recent CD release. Now, less than five months later, Linehan is in mid-run of a new show, Beautiful Songs, at the Metropolitan Room.

Barnes & Noble just celebrated the new Ghostlight Records cast recording of The Bridges of Madison County, the new romantic musical which recently closed at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street), with a special in-store performance and CD signing.The event featured stars Kelli O'Hara and Steven Pasquale, in addition to other cast members. The composer/lyricist Jason Robert Brown joined them at the piano, with Justin Goldner and Gary Sieger on guitars and Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf on cello. These four shows will give audiences a chance to celebrate the musical in the intimate setting of 54 Below with the critically acclaimed performances of Betsy and Adam, along with the full band reunited from this year's hit production at Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director). The composer Jason Robert Brown himself will be at the piano on October 16 -17 at 7:00 PM, with Andrew Resnick taking over on October 18-19 at 11:00 PM. The entire set of concerts will feature Gary Sieger on acoustic guitar, Randy Landau on fretless bass, Thomas Kim Carney on violin, and Summer Boggess and Mairi Dorman on cello. Hunter Ryan Herdlicka just made his 54 Below debut after almost two years starring on Broadway in the Tony Award Winning revival of Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music, playing opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury, followed by Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch. Last night, March 25, Hunter performed his new show 'You Make Me Feel So Young' that recently played to sold-out crowds at the Austin Cabaret Theatre in Austin, TX.
