A star-studded cast has been assembled for Spotlight on Goderich: A Variety Show at the Huron Country Playhouse in Grand Bend on Sunday, November 20th at 3:00 p.m.

Green Door Cabaret is a relatively new initiative in Toronto, created and founded by Robert Missen in an effort to revisit and re-explore the glory that is old-fashioned cabarets. Every Friday and Saturday night for the rest of November various musical theatre stars will be featured at The Lower Ossington Theatre performing intimate, original, cabaret style works. One of the first events featured husband and wife team Louise Pitre and Joe Matheson, performing songs they had written themselves for the first time ever. BWW was on hand to check out what the series was about, and also got an exclusive backstage interview with Joe and Louise.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary milestone, the MAMMA MIA! company treated fans in Times Square to an encore performance in the streets following the curtain call, before heading to an exclusive after party. At a press conference held June 7 at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 171 nominations for 197 eligible productions that opened between June 1, 2010 and May 31, 2011 for the 32nd annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards which honour excellence in the performing arts in Toronto.

The first winners of the Toronto Theatre Critics' Awards - decided by John Coulbourn (the Toronto Sun), Richard Ouzounian (the Toronto Star), Robert Cushman (the National Post), and Kelly Nestruck (the Globe and Mail) - were announced today. Among the winners were Tony Sheldon, now Tony-nominated for PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, and SOUTH PACIFIC, which was produced by Lincoln Center Theatre.

Louise will perform in English et en français for this one-night only concert, which will also be recorded live for an upcoming album. The song list includes such classics 'La Vie En Rose,' 'When You're Smiling,' 'Ne me quitte pas,' 'Hymne A L'amour,' and 'Thank You For The Music/A La Guerre Comme A La Guerre (The Winner Takes it All)' .
