Asolo Rep's ROE IllumiNation event will be held on Wednesday, March 21. Lisa Loomer's ROE (March 14 - April 15) is a poignant new play that humanizes and examines both sides of one of the most polarizing Supreme Court cases of all time: Roe v. Wade. A stimulating series of theatre and conversation exploring the topical and social themes threaded throughout the season, IllumiNation events begin one hour prior to curtain with a ticketed reception on the mezzanine, continue with the performance, and conclude with a free, open-to-the-public conversation.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will begin previews on Tuesday, March 27 for the world premiere of MLIMA'S TALE, written by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage and directed by Obie Award winner Jo Bonney.

Wade. Asolo Rep is proud to be only the fourth theater in the country to be granted the rights to this must-see production. Directed by Lavina Jadhwani and based on the original production directed by Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Artistic Director Bill Rauch,  ROE previews March 14 and 15, opens March 16, and runs in rotating repertory through April 15 in the Mertz Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

MLIMA'S TALE begins performances on Tuesday, March 27 and runs through Sunday, May 20 in The Public's Martinson Hall, with an official press opening on Sunday, April 15.

Could Lisa Loomer's new play Roe be heading to Broadway soon? Cindy Adams of Page Six has reported that the play, about Roe v. Wade, 1973's historic Supreme Court decision legalizing a woman's right to an abortion, will be produced by Daryl Roth and is eying Broadway.

Cornerstone Theater Company will present Magic Fruit, the culminating Bridge Show of the Hunger Cycle at The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles on select dates November 18 - December 10, 2017. Magic Fruit will unite the previous eight communities of this Cycle of plays for a ninth and final production.
