Los Altos Stage Company Brings Heartfelt Family Comedy to the Stage with DISTRACTED
After the tremendously successful run of the chilling and timely 1984, Los Altos Stage Company lightens the mood with a production of Lisa Loomer's smart and empathetic comedy, Distracted.
What's wrong with 9-year-old Jesse? His teacher says he has ADHD, his Dad says "he's just a boy!" and his Mom is on a quest for answers. Distracted is a hilarious and poignant look at the challenges of modern family life, asking the question: Are we so tuned-in to our 24/7, information rich world that we're tuned out to what really matters? Distracted has received critical acclaim, having been dubbed "smartly comic" by the Associated Press, "chronically entertaining" by The New York Daily News, and "favorite comedy of the year" by Time Out New York. Los Altos Stage Company's production of Distracted is directed by Executive Artistic Director Gary Landis (Middletown, Maple and Vine, The Fantasticks) and features CJ Aaronson, Vanessa Alvarez, Caitie Clancy, Jeff Clarke, Annika Diekgers, Leslie Ivy, John Stephen King, Judith Miller, and Dana Morgan.
