Since last October 2011, the most acclaimed production ever of Rodgers and Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC has been thrilling audiences and breaking records in theatres across the UK, playing to well over half a million people, becoming the best-selling show of the Season in venues including Wimbledon and Stoke-on-Trent, and the best-selling two-week musical ever to play in Glasgow and Milton Keynes.

THEATER TALK goes on location to the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center to present a vivid, colorful portrait of Sir Noel Coward (1899-1973), the legendary playwright (Private Lives), screenwriter (Brief Encounter), performer and songwriter ("I'll See You Again"), with two Coward "experts" as guides.

Artistic Director Robert Falls announced today that he will direct a major revival and new adaptation of Measure for Measure, Shakespeare's darkly comic collision of vice and virtue, in Goodman Theatre's 2012/2013 season, March 9 - April 14, 2013. Also, director David Cromer announced partial casting for his production of Sweet Bird of Youth: Oscar, Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award-nominee Diane Lane appears as Princess Kosmonopolis and Finn Wittrock, who recently appeared in Broadway's Death of a Salesman with Philip Seymour Hoffman, is cast as the young-actor-turned-gigolo Chance Wayne. The Old Globe presents the West Coast Premiere of Divine Rivalry. Based on a real-life event, the drama about two of history's most famous artists-and one of history's most infamous statesmen-is written by Michael Kramer with D. S. Moynihan. Directed by Michael Wilson, Divine Rivalry runs now through August 5 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. J. Tomilson Hill, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lincoln Center Theater, has announced that Bernard Gersten has decided to step down as the Theater's Executive Producer, a position he has held for 28 years, as of June 30, 2013.

The Lincoln Center Theater 2008 revival of Rogers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC, starring Lisa McCune, Teddy Tahu Rhodes, Eddie Perfect and Kate Ceberano, is heading to Australia. The show will play Sydney Opera House from August 8, followed by Melbourne's Princess Theatre from September 13, 2012, as the first-ever Lincoln Center Theater production to tour Australia.

Hartford Stage Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak today promoted Resident Director Maxwell Williams, an artistic presence at the Tony Award-winning theatre for more than a decade, to the post of Associate Artistic Director.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that it will extend the run of its critically acclaimed production of Amy Herzog's 4000 MILES, directed by Daniel Aukin, for a second time, through Sunday, July 1 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). The original run of the production was extended through Sunday, June 17 after 4000 MILES opened to critical acclaim in early April.
