Ballet NY presents its 2014 Season, including In the Garden of Souls, the company premieres of Kinderszenen, Dreams, and excerpts from Urban Study, from April 15-17, 2014 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 West 55th Street, NYC (at Ninth Avenue). New York Theatre Ballet celebrates 35 years with LEGENDS & VISIONARIES in January and May of 2014 at Florence Gould Hall, 55 East 59th Street, NYC. The series includes two programs; VISIONARIES on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25, 2013 at 7pm and LEGENDS on Friday, May 9, 2014 and Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 7pm. Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that Halley Feiffer's How to Make Friends and then Kill Them, directed by Kip Fagan, will extend performances through Saturday, December 14 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place. How to Make Friends and then Kill Them was originally scheduled to close Sunday, December 8.

Gingold Theatrical Group's SHAW NEW YORK 2013 festival concludes on Sunday October 13th. It has been highlighted by GTG's co-production of Shaw's You Never Can Tell with and at The Pearl Theatre Company. This production, which was filmed for the New York Library for the Performing Arts and Lincoln Center archives, is ending its limited run on Sunday October 13th.

KPMG, LLP will be awarded the Sidney Harman Award for Philanthropy in the Arts. Mark Blum has joined the cast of The New Group's The Good Mother, written by Francine Volpe and directed by Scott Elliott. He joins Darren Goldstein, Gretchen Mol, Alfredo Narciso and Eric Nelsen in the premiere of this new play, replacing the previously announced Bill Sage, who had to withdraw due to a scheduling conflict prior to start of rehearsals. Mark Blum's Broadway credits include Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Twelve Angry Men, A Thousand Clowns, Lost in Yonkers, and more. He has appeared previously at The New Group in Wallace Shawn and Allen Shawn's play/opera The Music Teacher, among others.
